It wasn’t really time travel. The gods ultimately curse him with a life of fighting forever. So he ends up in basically all the wars. Supposedly all the way to him being in the pentagon.

Guess this means it'll take place in the Year of the Five Emperors. Cool story that could certainly make for an entertaining movie.
I suppose the story will be that Lucilla and Lucius lost their status after the death of Commodus, and are probably exiled and/or ordered to be executed by any of the guys who tried to be Caesar.
Kind of hoping it's not a revenge story, as that's not really a departure from the first film, but I always thought Scott's depiction of Rome was awesome so I'll just settle for another movie set in that time.

A musical w/the violence level and production quality of something like Gladiator, Braveheart, or The Last Samurai would be pretty crazy.

Now that I saw Russell Crowe in the road rage movie, all of his pictures are unsettling to me.
ETA: This particular picture looks like one they put in the murder mysteries where they are trying to build the character before the murders are committed.

GD movie stars and their good-lookin' families.
His last couple of movies were ummm, lackluster.
Here's hoping he does something better soon. Oh and Gladiator 2 sounds like STS (straight to streaming), but I guess that's everything now.
