Also, I am not sure if it was pointed out but 2 things.

1. Starwars is typically a very high presale.

2. Endgame ticket sales were released in the morning, not during primetime. Would love to see the 24 hour totals.

I haven't paid fro Star Wars since TFA.

Politics aside, they're just really shitty movies and they'll stay that way as long as the franchise name puts butts in the seats.

And I wouldn't be surprised if Disney was helping these numbers, like they cook the reviews. They're fricked hard if this one misses the mark.

After TLJ, I said I'd wait on Solo. . .saw it on Netflix

Will do the same here.

After Ep8, I really just don't have a unique pull to see this movie.

I didn’t even watch solo for “free“ when I had a Netflix trial. Also didn’t rewatch TLJ.

That's great and all that they are selling tickets, but...

I'm not watching this movie.

I'll add to the anecdotal evidence in this thread and say that I just went to the Movie Tavern website to see how ticket sales are going in my area.

The Friday showings seem to be mostly full but once you get to Saturday, it's not quite wide open but there are still a lot of seats in prime areas available.

It seems like the Star Wars no matter what crowd jumped on the earliest viewings but interest beyond that seems kind of lukewarm as of right now. Even the diehards aren't locking in their second, third and fourth viewings yet.

The movie will still make a ton of dough but it won't touch Endgame's numbers.

I've watched every Star Wars film since Empire in theaters the first week of its release. I got my money stolen too many times recently to invest in this release.

No interest in seeing this garbage and the number of clearance toys from the last films tells you that they have no legs.

I am going to see this movie around opening weekend. However, just because presale tickets look great and opening weekend will be huge doesn't mean it will make anything close to Endgame.

Repeat viewings is what will ultimately matter, and if the movie has roughly the same plot as the leaks indicate, it will underperform. By the way, rumors indicate that most of the movie was re-shot in the past three months with multiple endings tested. Who knows what we will get.

I'm sure there's a lot of presale tickets getting bought, but lets remember.

quote:

In addition, the frenzy for Avengers: Endgame tickets is so huge, it’s crashing sites. Ticket buyers are getting a 503 error code on AMC, and some users on Atom and Fandango are having difficulty too. But that’s a sign that business is strong, and it’s par for the course for any ticket retailer’s sites whenever there is a rush for a hot act. You just get boxed out. Keep trying.

Not a stupid arse comment, it's the truth.

All you losers who have been whining for the last two years about a movie will without a doubt find yourself with your arse in a seat in a movie theater. May not be opening night, may not be the first week, or even the first two weeks, but at some point the majority of you will not be able to stay away. May even be just so you can come here and scream and holler about how correct you were.

It's going to be hilarious when the movie comes out and the spoiler thread is 100+ pages even though there are so many of you who claim you will not see the movie.

You need to settle down, buddy. You're going to have a stroke long before opening night if you are letting this thread get you that worked up.
