Im no hangover fan, but this is plain wrong. Jack and Jill is in no way comparable to the hangover.
It's maybe not AS shitty as Jack and Jill but the hangover is not an kind of good movie.

At least the Hangover had some funny parts and didn't insult me just by existing. I'm not saying it's pure gold comedy or anything, it just seemed to have fun with it's premise. This feeling is missing from it's sequel when they elect to do the literal same plot. Jack and Jill however is a mere ponzi scheme and doesn't really qualify as being classified as a film.

This review is hilarious. These guys could've made a better Adam Sandler movie than Adam Sandler.

just starting but holy frick his list before the movie is pretty much spot on for a sandler film
Posted on 11/21/11 at 9:23 pm to BilJ
yeah his list was pretty legit

I love how he felt the need to split up genital jokes with genital injury jokes.

Not trying to make myself look smart but I thought this "scam" was apparent to everyone

I think is has been said before but Sandler really is the white Tyler Perry
Posted on 11/21/11 at 11:26 pm to OMLandshark
Adam Sandler hasn't had a career since Billy Madison/Happy Gilmore IMO

I just thought he lost his comedic touch and couldn't produce a decent comedy even when he tried. Now its apparent that these films are no more than a front to scam people. That I wasn't expecting.

That's the thing though. If you're watching an Adam Sandler comedy then you should know exactly what to expect. Sure, this easily looks like one of the shittiest movies he's ever been involved with, but the fundamentals are the same.
I also dodn't get the hate for click or spanglish. They're both solid movies. People call him out for making shitty comedies. So, he puts out a more serious movie, but people want the old sandler back. The problem is that people are too stupid to realize that the new sandler is the same as the old sandler, but, like most things in life, it's the nostalgia that makes you want more of Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore. I love those movies, but they weren't high brow comedies.
And, as far as a lazy production, one could make the argument that the guys doing this review are just as lazy as sandler for reviewing a movie that terrible and pointing out the obvious.

I just always noticed the same people, same crap. His buddies rely on those movies for paychecks and probably make 10x more than they would in any other film. That is if they would even be cast in another film.
I don't agree with plinkett, those first 3 movies had some value and were decent. If anything, he's made me want to watch it

Sinister?

Just finished both parts. Thanks
Good stuff

I guess I gotta watch the movie to really get sucked into this. I'm not watching the movie.

If they weren't exaggerating about the "commercial breaks" in the movie then that's over the top and pretty outrageous. Other than that the rest of that stuff is pretty much par for the course and I don't see the problem?
Do other movies get their cameo actors to show up for free? Sandler gets 20 mil for every movie because he's bankable, what the hell is the problem. That 20 mil is a safe investment for the studios because they know they'll get their money back on anything with his name on it. Who exactly is Sandler scamming in this "sinister" plot? The people paying him are smart people who know he's a valuable brand, and a safe product to invest in.
Sandler helps his friends and buddies out by giving them cush roles and easy paychecks. Wouldn't we all like to do that for the people in our lives?
The movie clearly sucks and its clearly lazy, most discerning filmgoers won't waste their entertainment dollar on it, but plenty will and the world won't end when Jack and Jill turns a profit for everyone involved.

Sandler's film takes the cameos to the utmost nausea. It's not like 1 or 2 cameos like most comedies do. Its at least 7-10. He's making way more than 20 million per film. Thats merely his acting fee and doesn't include his producing and writing fees.

Yeah, but its more like a mob than something that should be present in films.

Well you obviously didn't watch the video, because if you still feel that way after that massive assraping of Adam Sandler's career, then you are an idiot. They uncovered Adam Sandler as the con man he really is. I thought this was merely a shitty film before this review, but there is alot of things that are ridiculously sinister about it and Adam Sandler's career. All Adam Sandler cares about is inflating the film's budget as much as possible so that he and his goons receive as high of paycheck as possible. Trying to make a good film is the very last thing on Adam Sandler's mind.
You are blowing this video pretty hardcore. It's a decent review, and those guys are pretty funny. But they didn't really "massively assrape" Sandler's career. His career will be just fine. And who gives a shite if the budget is inflated, or if he's trying to get himself and his buddies a decent paycheck? I have no problems with that.
I likely won't ever see J&J, but not because of this "assrape" of a review...because it's not something I think I'd like or care to see. And Adam Sandler doesn't give a frick if I see it or not.

Also this review made me lose alot of respect for David Letterman as well.
Why? Because he pandered to a guest on his show? You think Letterman really watched the movie, or loved it, or wanted to get a screening for his staff? Sandler was there to promote the film, and Letterman helped him do that. Was he supposed to sit there and say it blew and rip on Sandler?
And I agree that a lot of the same things they said about this movie could be applied to other shitty comedies, and the same way they critiqued this one could be applied to others as well.
