There is everywhere else, I don't know why movies would be any different.

Seems like a ripoff of Sunshine to me.

This makes me question whether or not you have actually seen Sunshine

because no way a person could come to this comparison after watching the trailer for PHM

I like that me and my 13 year old daughter can both enjoy a book. There are not that many things out there anymore that we can both enjoy together.

I enjoy gritty and dark as well, but it doesn't have to be everything.

Some people seem to loathe Project Hail Mary

The vast majority of critics so far like it. Variety is the only high profile mixed review. Why can't this crap wait until next week? Why do we have to pre-complain?

Last I checked it was 96%, making it the highest rated film of Gosling's career, and people are arguing about the 4% bad reviews

I'm starting a YouTube review series where I gush over movies that I haven't seen.

Make sure that in your video thumbnails you have a shocked look on your face...

(This is AI's attempt at Dietrich looking shocked.)

The best Ryan Gosling teacher movie is Half Nelson. This movie looks lame compared to the grittiness of that one. And it was very low budget

This is how Dietrich actually looked when shocked.

Good job AI. You nailed it.

I just finished the book and was wondering how they would handle Rocky for the movie. CGI I guess

They used puppeteers for Rocky

Adam Savage gets a tour of the Hail Mary set. Great video.

Someone watched Interstellar and thought "lets put Gosling in that role but with Guardians of the Galaxy vibes"

I believe it will be good. We are going to see it next weekend. I’m even more optimistic after I heard the alien character was a puppet and not CGI.

It's based off a book doofus and has none of those vibes. It's baffling how you are so dumb on every single board.

Headed to see the 4pm showing here in the UK (in just a few hours time). It's been a long time since I've been this excited to see a movie at the cinema.

Word of advice. When a movie is based on very solid source material such a readily available novel, it’s probably best to familiarize yourself with the source material before commenting. It can prevent you from sounding like a compete moron on a public message board.

Watch the trailer and you'll change your mind. It has nothing to do with the book
