This is the question. What is the final goal? Just to be a single mind? They won't kill which is good because you would think they would just kill the 11. But likely they want the 11 to join them.
Everyone knowing everybody and everything is so odd. Like the waitress and goat herder flying the planes.

So they won't even kill insects and let all the animals in the zoos out.
The protein supply is going to run out pretty fast. They did say they would cook something if someone else killed it first but that leads to more questions...

The first episode was outstanding. It’s been awhile since I went into a series completely blind, but I’m glad I did.

“If you’re going to hit me, then hit me!” I love this woman!

Some kind of soy blocks like in snowpiercer but not made out of bugs?

This was not what I was expecting based on the preview clips and that’s great! Excellent show so far. Instantly hooked. Gilligan is a master and Seehorn is perfect once again.

Damn what a great first 2 episodes.

Just finished ep 2 and we are hooked! DW thinks the Indian guy will be a sleeper good guy. I think he’ll be a villain.

I think they said he was Mauritanian (Western Sahara).
I'm curious to see how the hive mind starts behaving over time. They've all been dedicated to cleaning up and treating the remaining normies like royalty. We haven't really seen them do anything for "fun" yet. They say that they're happy but they're acting like robots.
But that may have been the most engaged I've ever been over the course of the first two episodes of a series. There are obviously still mysteries, but the show is generally answering the questions that we have, and the normie characters are behaving reasonably and asking good questions. I liked how everyone was shocked that Seehorn's character never asked the hive minders what it felt like. I also like the method Seehorn went to prove that the Indian kid wasn't still the normie's son (square roots + OBGYN exam questions).
I don't know how they can extend this show 4+ seasons, but I trust Gilligan to not draw it out longer than it needs to be.

The French guy with Air Force one is doing it right. Going to Vegas to stay in Elvis' suite. Harem of women.
He's living like Rick with Unity.
But we know the other shoe will drop eventually. .
Also crazy that her yelling at that one lady killed 11 million people.

Enjoying episode two a little bit less. A lot of excessive contrivances worked in with this storyline so far.
Like how Carol is apparently the only one upset. There’s no degrees of acceptance or denial. Most are okey-dokey with how things are and then it’s just her.
* so many good sci-fi shows start off with the premise of everything is cool, just go with it. Like “How to cook for…humans”
iykyk

That we are aware of. There are 5 others that don’t speak English. But it still may be a good bet as we haven’t seen the spaz out from being yelled at by one of those other 5. Yet.
Saw another trailer and Carol is alone on a rooftop hitting golf balls. Where are the WE? There are still billions of them left. Maybe they e been instructed to stay away from her.

See this is the Warrior Galadriel effect. Everybody in the world has been through similar experiences yet only Carol (shocking she’s blonde ) is allowed to feel super duper angry.
Why is that?
All right, because then the series couldn’t happen.

Weird show but very good. Love the brunette babe as the voice of them.

Carol doesn't have family that she wants to join in the collective, all of the others do except for the black dude (who doesn't seem to be in a rush to end his lifestyle, and is understandably not angry about the situation).
And there are 6 others that we haven't met yet that may share her concern.
ETA: Another question will be whether two immune people can produce an immune child. The hive mind assumes that they will be able to "fix" it within a few weeks, but maybe not. Though as of now, there's only one woman that is definitely child bearing age. The Indian woman probably still is, but not for much longer. There might be one among the non-English speakers as well. Given that it took them a while to discover the 12th normie, I suspect it's an infant.

The lack of concern by the others is super convenient for the show so Carol can be the big bad. No one seemed super put off that humanity was now acting massively strange. If your spouse or children aren't acting like themselves, that's going to freak anyone out. I don't care if they look the same and you just WANT to believe the lie "Yeah, that's my kid, wife, etc.. " that's not a state of mind that can last very long.
Carol quizzing the little boy about gyno stuff started to shift the mom's attitude a bit.
What are we calling the hive folks? That they admit they've working on making the rest of the humans 'like them' should be disturbing. Except for the one girl. When 8.5 billion are already turned, what difference does 11 or 12 measly people matter?
Unless they start stressing them out, and slaughtering millions at a time.. then things might have to change.
