How does a show that is as boring as this take 2 years to film?
I'm hoping it's because they were simultaneously filming a lot for S2. Hoping.

He's from Mauritania, in north-western Africa. He was an orphan... smart and nerdy and probably not "living it up" in his life. So yeah, the way he's being treated now is so much better than before that... he's not going to see too much of a downside to it.
Manousos is a Colombian who had to immigrate to Paraguay. He's a loner. He had no friends, was not close to his own mother. His world works on rules and the black and white of good and bad, with no compromises, as demonstrated by all of his behavior with leaving money for siphoned gas in the apocalypse. That has not made him a popular party person, but it's equipped him for this fight.

Pacing reminded me of first season or two of better call Saul. A true slow burn.

We’ve watched a few episodes and really enjoy it. The description of the plot in the tweet doesn’t really do it justice and can give a wrong impression.

Disagree 100%. Things happened in BCS season 1 and 2 and so many likable characters. Nothing happened or was good in Pluribus outside episode 1. Easily the most overrated show of 2025.

My wife and I really started to like it after each episode and then halfway through I said, “ they’re gonna make this a love story between Carol and the smoke show host lady aren’t they”. And bam
Never fails. It’s so predictable now with TV shows. You could see it coming a mile away.

You got introduced to Tuco and Nacho in S1E2.

Just finished. I have seen lots of slow and boring comments. I never once thought either. About to go back to rewatch 1 and 2.

quote:It was definitely slow but that's OK, it was never boring. I think the main issue with the show was the lack of any resolution or climax in the finale. I think we all saw the issue with her eggs coming, so there was no shock there. As much as I enjoyed it, hard not to be disappointed there weren't a couple more episodes and a more fulfilling or exciting resolution to the season.

Who the hell does 9 episodes? I honestly thought there was another episode coming up for the finale. Weird place to leave off. Still enjoy the show overall.

Comparing this to better call Saul is a travesty so far. Pluribus was 8 episodes of fillers and one good episode.

I just picked up Apple Tv just for something different, is this show worth a watch? I ask because the comments in here seem kind of mixed.

What’s the season 2 plot? Carol hooks up with South American dude and they fight over whether or not to use the A bomb? With cameos by the other survivors? Maybe some funny tv commercials again talking directly to Carol? Maybe Carol will spend an episode learning how to farm with the help of her new South American man. Really exhilarating stuff, go ahead and give them the Emmy now.
