That scene is basically fan service to them in the season premiere. If you listened closely outside you could hear the ozark trail wine tumblers clanking during the scene.

I binged watched all 4 seasons in the two weeks after they showed them all on Memorial day. I was pumped for the new season.
Seemed slow...
If you're going to hook the audience for another season, something major should have happened in episode 1 if not episode 2 since they both premiered on the same night.
I was very disappointed and came here to get other people's opinions thinking maybe I missed something. Apparently not.

Yeah, when the guy asked why it mattered since they had the tags, the other guy gives him a "yeah, about that" look and I could've sworn the guy that asked replied with something like "$hit" or something.

in the scene where Kayce and co. are chasing the thieves stealing horses in broad day light....so they're running for it and saying "we don't want to go to jail in america.." then simply by Kayce going in the water and saying "hey turnaround" they're like cool and go back the other way to the Livestock cops?

I don't think I've ever seen that before. The quality of the writing, plus this unprecedented product placement suggests, that this is just a money grab for Paramount et al at this point.

after the first hour i was frustrated i wasted an hour watching that shite, second hour came and gone and im thinking its 2 hrs wasted for nothing.
i hope to god the next show is back to season 2 standards or i may lose interest, something that i never thought possible with this show before

It's an hour long commercial. Maybe a dramatized informercial. But I have to say, I may have to get me one of those waxed trucker jackets.

The whole premise is absolutely stupid.

I wish this show wasn't so foolish. I wish it had somewhere to go but it doesn't. It's just theater for the sake of theater at this point.
This show should have ended two seasons ago. The focus should have been smaller. Now its outpaced itself and is involving politics.
Beth is terrible. Kayce is foolish.
I think the best character on the show is actually the dead brother from Season 1 just because they couldn't screw that up.

Did I miss it or did they address Summer Higgins from last season? The judge was supposed to reverse his decision a couple days after the sentencing. Did they ever address what John had on the judge to make him do that? I can't stand how they just forget about a storyline and expect you to not be interested.
Maybe she'll be on the plane that falls from the sky from the bomb that Kayce planted in season 3..
