This is the same character who had a bomb go off right next to them and did the Gus Fring walk out of the destroyed building. In true Beth form however, she had to one up Gus by lighting a cigarette instead of collapsing dead.

I’m hoping that it was Beth that was airlifted out and John was holding Carter in that split second shot.
Maybe that means Beth will be gone for an episode or two. Or at least I hope.

agreed, and i dont want beth killed off, but at this point its hard to put that crazy back in the bottle so im not sure what they can do with beth other than kill her off or just return her to an occasional bit spot in the show here and there.
she needs to be removed as the main character, hell as it stands now, she is the focal point of the show more than john or even the ranch is

It's a true testament to how incredibly awful a character is: she is hot as fire- but she's so terrible, we would give up the shots of her in little dresses to make her go away.

I love a badass bitch woman. But most of us also love the strong male character as well. As a woman, I want to see Rip get the best of her a lot of the time. We all know she deserves it and honestly, deep inside, she wants someone to be stronger than her. If they played it right, the rough and tough Beth would be the scared shell on the outside of the very hurt and damanged Beth and we would see her show this with Rip. It truly ruins the best part of the relationship we should be seeing on the screen.
She also had also loved and respected John. She seems to now just be his attack dog-bitch that nips at everything around him she sees as a threat. It's just not the way things should be going. She could be that to some degree, but she has to actually listen to him and provide him counsel when he needs it instead of just fights and one liners.

Plus, it all has to come easily, do whatever she wants, have no consequences.

All of it. I just take it as it is. I try not think about how I think the show should be. There’s like a dozen plot lines, and I realize not all of them can fit in one episode and that some may be a higher priority over others. It’s 45 minutes out of a whole week. Just sit back and relax and enjoy it for what it is.

Ripley in the movie Aliens was the gold standard of modern movies for a strong female character who never lost her femineity. Same for Jodi Foster in Silence of the Lambs, and Pam Grier in JAckie Brown. All badasses. None uber-bitches. Beth's character is the equivalent of a porn star. Theres nothing special or redeeming about either one. being the biggest bitch to everyone or sucking the most dicks may get you some weekend popularity, but it aint anything anyone wants around long term. its an odd choice for a hero.

It appears to me that you stopped reading after that one sentence because what you took away is not what I said about Beth's character. Good Lord, man. You got no clue about me. Being an a-hole ain't what makes a man either, but you sure did a good imitation here.
The whole thing about being a bitch that you don't seem to understand, is that a woman who acts tough, expects a lot, etc. is often regarded as a bitch, when a man who exhibits those exact qualities is often thought of as direct, knows what he wants, strong, take charge. That is why many women don't mind being called a bitch. It's because we get called it when we have the same demands, take charge qualities, etc. as a man. It's not an odd choice for a hero at all. Nobody should give a shite if I'm feminine or anything at all at work. If you don't think a woman should ever act that way...well then I'm glad I don't know you IRL!
And guess what...at work, nobody gives a damn about anyone being "unique". They care about getting the job done. I don't give a damn if they are male, female, gay, whatever...pink, purple, black, white, or brown...just get the damn job done and don't whine about it.
You only see the superficial character of Beth because that is all they have shown recently. They show no layers of any of the folks on this show. Therefore, we only see annoying, badass, bitch Beth. But if you have really watched, you would see that she comes off this way because she's hurt, scared, and felt alone after she lost her mother. They just don't show growth from her or anyone!

horse shite. Lots of women exhibit those exact qualities and never act bitchy or are considered such. I've worked for three such women. The difference is, many women are actually bitches and use the same excuse for their behavior as you just expounded.

The problem with this show is that no one improves.
Every character is the exact same person from episode 1.
There is nothing redeeming here.
