Good episode. I thought they might start off with a bang, but I'm liking the build up.

I don't think that he sent out a bad signal, I think he just drained the battery with the radio while he had the new tracker (that he can track) in place of the old one. Once the battery drained on the one placed there by Gus, they sent someone to switch the existing one out with a new one.

He just ran the radio without a battery in parallel with the GPS with a battery. A radio receiver (operating on FM or AM) won't have any affect on the signal of a GPS tracker (probably operating at a much higher frequency). He lucked out that Gus's guy (maybe the one that gets his throat slit?) replaced the entire unit instead of replacing the battery on the existing unit.

ETA: The show is a great relief from the stupidity seen in Walking Dead. What Mike did take a bit of luck to work, but it was legitimately a great idea. He didn't plant a tracker on the people spying on him, he let them plant the tracker on themselves.

I like the pace of BCS. Some people might not like it, but I think this story and it's pace is amazing. It's so different from BB, but has so many similarities.

LOL at all the people downvoting anyone suggesting the pace is slow. Every one of them KNOWS it is glacially slow. It's still a good story and a joy to watch, but few would have given this more than a couple episodes if not for the BB tie-in. It's a slow burn that's worth it because we know where it will lead, but each and every one of you wouldn't mind it being faster paced - you just won't admit it.

Were you on any message boards while Mad Men was still on? That was the ultimate "slow burn" that the herd would emotionally defend and attack anyone who mentioned the slow pace. If you dared to comment on the pacing or the fact that certain sub-stories were being recycled, you immediately got blasted with "SORRY THERE AREN'T ENOUGH CAR CRASHES OR EXPLOSIONS FOR YOU LOL OLOLOLOLOL."

It would be funny if Gillian just trolled everyone and doesn't introduce Gus until the last episode.

I usually have little patience with slow TV, but I love the long scenes where Mike is doing work and not saying a word.

The look on Chuck's face at the end of the battery change scene suggested he wanted Ernesto to hear that bit of recording. It was a set up, and Chuck's pleas for confidentiality were cover. It will play out.

I think I missed what was on the recording, because what little I caught was pretty insignificant.

Also, what was said that got Mike thinking about the gas tank cap? I know he asked the junkyard fella about why they were selling them at all, but didn't hear the response.
