I'm sure this has been addressed already but..

Are we to assume Captain America killed his past self in order to go back and assume the life he missed? Can anyone explain this for me?

Also, can someone tell me why Tony's snap only dusts Thanos and his minions?

It only snapped Thanos and company bc that’s what Tony willed with the snap.

A question. Do we only have speculation that Gamora was not snapped?

That's one thing that needs more explanation. Why did she disappear or get teleported somewhere else? Now that bubble universes are confirmed, if she didn't get snapped, she should of just stayed as is in the main universe. Unless she bolted from the planet as soon as the fight was over.

It's not time travel, so she doesn't just Back to the Future to what would of been if Thanos disappeared. She should of just remained as is with everyone else. She could of peaced out on her own for some reason we don't know.

Couldn't they just pluck a Gamora from right before she went to Vormir with Thanos? Without her, he can't get the soul stone.

1. You don't need 3 hours to give me a 10 min "battle scene" at the end. We already saw it in Infinity Wars

Both battle scenes were epic.

2. Was the whole " Hey, we're gonna have Capt' Marvel run the ball up the gut while the rest of us women clear the path towards the endzone" really necessary? I get the whole women emporement movement as giving everyone a pat on the back (or arse), but just felt like too much social agenda/ pandering to the masses for me.

They got a whole 3 seconds of a 3 hour movie for "girl power" yet you're bitching about it. Social Agenda/Pandering? Every movie panders. How about all the ladies having skin tight outfits showing off their bodies, that's pandering, same for the guys like Thor and Captain America. Every comedic scene can be considering pandering, same for heartfelt scenes, or big battles. The whole movie has countless scenes meant to please the audience. Also your overlooking the fact that comics have approached social issues for decades. Even the all women team is a tribute to the A Force from the comics. Not to mention the ladies are total badasses, Captain Marvel and Wanda might are easily some of most powerful heroes.

quote:

3. Which leads me to my next thing: So the new Captin America is gonna be Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mack). I don't care that he's black really, but how the hell is he supposed to be Capt American w/o all the super human juicing?

Falcon became Captain America in the comics. He doesn't necesarilly need the serum to be a badass. He's a veteran of two tours before becoming an Avenger and defending the world a few times already. He has his own thing

I just feel like the writiers/studio/hollywood are trying to make me eat this corn filled shite cake and tell me it's a chantilly. If you have ~ 3 hours to spare, it's worth a watch just for the effects. Other than that, prepare to be underwhelmed.

To each their own. But it's obvious you're not a big fan of the MCU in general. It might not end up being my favorite one, but easily the most epic with Infinity Wars. I could have easily watched another hour of it.

Right, but what I'm saying is, what would it hurt to bring her to the main timeline? She would have all of the same feelings and memories as the original Gamora.

You can't change the past, or the future. it happened. It's over. If you try to change it, it would become an alternate timeline.

She could be anywhere. She knows nothing of the GOTG. She had no reason to want to be with them just b/c Nebula said she loved Quill. Maybe she wanted to get back to her home planet asap and see if anything changed. She's finally free of Thanos, maybe she wants to do her own thing.

Gonna be tough to make him central going forward without a legit origin story. He's cool and all, but as dry as Bucky can be, we at least know how much of a genuine badass he is and how he got there.

He's already an established character. You don't need to go any more into his backstory.

Hell, he's already been in 5 of the movies.

They went over this in detail in Winter Soldier.

-Former Air Force Pararescue
-Honorably Discharged as a Captain
-Lost his wingman (quite literally) on his final mission
-Leads a support group for veterans with trouble adjusting post-service

You had that in The Winter Soldier. That was enough.

I think they have a plan for all these future movies to have little mini team ups, and that's going to work great imo.
I don't think they need a Falcon/Bucky movie, but both of those guys can be in other movies and help out.

The best episodes with the Marvel Netflix shows were when there was at least 2 heroes in them. Ragnorak worked great with two heroes, really 3 with Loki. There needs to be a central theme to the movie, but at least 2 character arcs in the movies to keep them entertaining throughout.

Reminds me of that scene in The Hunt for Red October when the butler from The Nanny complains to Fred Dalton about Jack Ryan wearing a naval officer's uniform.
quote:

Admiral Josh Painter : You think he's crazy?

Captain Davenport : Certifiable. And no matter what his credentials, I don't care for him wearing the uniform.

Painter : You see that ring on his finger? The Academy, Class of '72. A Marine.

Davenport : You're kidding! How did you...

Painter : Greer told me. Summer of his third year, he and his squad went down in a chopper accident in the Med. Bad - pilot, crew killed. That kid spent ten months in traction, another year learning to walk again. Did his fourth year from the hospital. Now it's up to you, Charlie, but you might consider cuttin' the kid a little slack.

Thanos was able to keep half of earth alive because Tony won his respect in IW so I’d imagine you can control who you eliminate with the snap

I don't think Tony had anything to do with that.

could be off on it but I always took his line in IW as saying humanity now has his respect so he'll keep half of it alive post snap and he hoped they'd remember tony for that.
