Thanks. Recognized it but didn’t place it. Great nod.

Watching Black Panther for the first time. Not sure why I waited this long. This is really fricking good. Great story. Great villain motivation. Reminds me of the first Thor, which unlike most, I loved.
The CGI is rough at times, but this is really good.

Yeah...because saying arse and shite make you so cool.
Just making an observation was a guy with a 9 yr old that was dying to see the movie. It seemed a bit over the top. My opinion.

Just saw it for the first time tonight. Great movie, but I think they figured out the time travel bit too easily (Stark getting it later that night on a whim after dismissing the absurdity of the idea hours prior)

Here’s my review from someone who’s never seen an avengers movie
So these are the superhero movies i’ve Seen going into this:
The Phantom
Daredevil
Punisher
GotG 1 and 2
Half of the first Hulk, where he’s the size of tanks and shite.
My experience :
First third set it up pretty well.
Thanos killed half of everyone, they kill thanos like assassinating an old warrior turned farmer, everyone is sad, the world is shot to shite, blah blah blah,
Time Travel montage: going into past movies fat thor, they knocked out starlord, getting stones that I don’t quite understand...but I can more or less follow it.
Then some drama getting them back. The dark haired chick who was blond at the start died and this upsets hawkeye? Then shoop da woop stones are back in the power glove and beta hulk snaps it and then they start fighting thanos.
And that’s when it all went off the rails.
I’m a pint of whiskey in at this point and all of a sudden there are armies, then there’s this girl power scene and they all get their arse kicked and then the armies attack and then Robert Downey Jr snaps his fingers and deus ex machina happens and the bad guys army dies and then it’s a happy ending except an old captain America gives his shield to some random dude.
Left thoroughly confused but there were a lot
Of pretty lights and people crying.
TL;DR
If you haven’t watched the backstory, you’ll be confused but it’s still a nice visual spectacle. Probably watch a couple of the key films before you go if you have the chance.
I didn’t care about anyone but beer gut Thor and Thanos. And it kind of sucked that tony stark had to give up his life but I guess it was a redemption arc

Something I haven't seen addressed is the lack of Infinity Stones in the current time line. The Ancient One said just losing one would screw up her reality and the current one lost all six. That is going to cause some serious problems

Sorry he’s not raising his kid to be a pussy. A little cussing will do the kid some good, trust me, he’s probably already doing it around his friends. So lighten up

quote:He's not wrong. If you don't want your kid to hear a few cuss words, don't take him to a PG13 movie. Hell, there are websites that will tell you how many times a movie swears. Do your parental guidance and research the movie before taking your 9 year old. He doesn't have to see it opening weekend.
Sure thing bro. You be you.
I can't imagine going to a violent movie where you know people are going to be killed and still being upset that someone said "shite" a few times.

I took my son and his buddies to watch it last night. They enjoyed it and that's all that matters.
As for me...this was a mediocre film, far inferior to IW. I just did not care for this film at all. I agree with John Campea that the first two hours are boring. By the time it got to the big CGI fest, I was checked out.

Just saw it last night and I agree that Infinity War was much better but I liked this one well enough.
At least this time around we don't have to suffer through a thousand "think" pieces scattered across the Internet (and here) speculating that Thanos may have been the good guy after all because the Russos really went out of their way this time to make it clear that he was nothing more than a genocidal maniac.

The Russos are lifting their personal spoiler ban request as of Monday.

I can’t either which is why I didn’t say that. I wasn’t upset. I said it seemed a little over the top. That’s it. Remember this is the same franchise where Cap scolded the team for “language”.
It seemed forced and out of place.
