No one had a problem with Pepper standing in and just wrecking shop in this movie? Seemed like a big changing of the guard going forward. I’m really excited for Guardians of the Galaxy 3 with Thor on board. That being said this is what we basically have left right?
Pepper replaces Tony
Valkyrie replaces Thor
Sam replaces Cap
Butch Captain Marvel has 5 more movies
I could see where people feel an agenda is being pushed.

It was just the most convenient way to have Pepper at the final battle site to be there for Tony's death scene.

She had that suped up shite then. Just seems like Thanos and his army dominate everyone they encounter across the galaxy. Then you have her just hang with the Avengers like no big deal. If there was some training with the suit prior, ok. All we got was Tony telling his daughter he made that for her Mom but she never wore it.

There's a way to bring in Riri Williams even though she's a shite character.
She finds the wreath with the original arc reactor on it. Reverse engineering it and using archived footage of Tony Stark, she creates her own suit of armor with an AI called Telecom Online Navigational Y (can't figure out a good word that starts with Y here).
TONY of course has Tony Stark's voice and personality.

the writers have continually said Thanos is extremely powerful in his own right, they've even said the arse whipping he laid on Hulk had nothing to do with the stones.
They've even kind of hinted he was somewhat holding back in the fight on Titan and had they gotten the gauntlet off he likely kills them all and takes it back. This Thanos wasn't holding back because they posed a legit threat to actually stopping him.

she's not replacing Thor, if anything she's kind of been benched in the MCU.
Thor is pretty well set up going forward....and they kind of need him.

Russo's said this was due to surprise, not over-powering Thanos. He didnt know what was coming, wasn't prepared to use enough power to stop it.

Endgame made it very clear that Thor was just not the same after the 5 year gap. He let himself go.

Absolutely. Other than Thor and GOTG, they don't really have a good face for the MCU moving forward. It's a good thing they got the Fantastic Four and X-Men back, because they need them badly.
I realize Spider-Man is also a part of the MCU, but they don't have full control over that character so I don't know that they can consider him a face of the universe.

Only if they give her the SpiderVerse treatment.
That movie fixed Miles Morales - made him way more than a Peter Parker clone (personality wise).
Riri would need something similar, instead of her comic book persona.
