You really thought that was funny?
I was de-tuning myself to the culture level of most of TD. The arab grandmother trying to drive joke hit home, every time I was nearly run over in Bahrain, it was always a woman from Saudi driving. But most of the board probably wouldn't get it.

Comedy always offends someone if it's good.
This is not an untrue statement.
However, Comedy is best when it has the ability to offend everyone, yet leave you with the understanding that it is merely comedy.
That trailer -- without reading too much into it -- makes it entirely clear, "offending only whites is ok, and unfunny comedy is acceptable as long as you create a victim narrative."
Comedy is dead.

Well, then it’s settled.

Not really. It came across more as an attempt to make something that looks and acts like it should be funny but just isn't.
If Ziggy was a family of Muslims, it would be that cartoon.

Wrong. See Nate Bargatze. And I say that as someone who loves crude and offensive humor.
You misspelled "Brian Regan".

The show is a satire piece about growing up in NY as the child of an ME immigrants. It looks offensive to everyone.
If you haven't heard of the writer, then how did you hear about the show? Some clickbait outrage-porn youtuber? (Like where all of your news and opinions seem to come from.)

I can’t. Don’t have Amazon prime anymore.

Shame this looks so dogshit because the cast isn’t bad:
quote:
The series stars the ensemble cast of Ramy Youssef (Ramy, Poor Things), Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development, Blink Twice), Mandy Moore (This Is Us), Timothy Olyphant (Justified), Kieran Culkin (A Real Pain, Succession), and Chris Redd (Saturday Night Live).
