With a budget of 20+ million, this will be a nice profit for A24. You sound silly

The movie is a success. Sure. It has a best case scenario of being a top 30 grossing movie on the year.

Why would someone think a movie only grossing 100-150M is proof that Zendaya is a top 10 actor in the world at bringing people to the cinema?

Y’all are confusing my argument as saying Zendaya is a bad actress or unlikable. No issue with her.

But to say she’s top 10 at making money or bringing people to the movies (which in my mind is what “bankable” means) is laughable.

And if you are gonna use the Spider-Man franchise or dune series as proof when she’s completely irrelevant in half the movies and the other half she’s just the girlfriend of the main character then idk what to tell ya

What other actress is bringing in profits on original films? It's hard to do these days.

No one is saying that. You can replace her with anyone else and it doesn't change those films.

never takes long for the haters to arrive. She's an excellent actress,

She really isn’t.

She’s not a good actress at all. However she has been anointed as a good actress by producers

The same producers who have lead Hollywood into economic turmoil

+1 he says this while this movie is doing quite well at the box office

Seems only blockbuster films make money at the theater anymore...

Marvel
Avatar
Project Hail Mary - want to see this one bad.

Super Mario Galaxy made more more money in a week and a half than Project Hail Mary will in a month, despite lukewarm reviews for the former and stellar for the latter.

I hope she sees this, bro.

Kid movies make bank. I'm guessing Super Mario is more of a kid movie anyway...

I haven't even watched the trailer to PHM. Stayed away because they show too much in trailers now-a-days... Hoping it will be pretty good though.

It’s very good. It will be in IMAX again from 4/17 to 4/22. Definitely the best way to watch it.

If she’s in the Avengers movie this year, she’s almost certainly going to be the highest grossing actor this year, and I think that’s gonna be triggering for some here.

Looked harmless, but apparently there is major plot point that turns the film into a spinning emotional shite show breakup/relationship story that is pretty depressing.

I mean like others have said they make it pretty obvious in the trailer something sinister is going on which is why they feel uncomfortable with eachother.

And why all the hate for Zendaya? She’s about as solid as they come. She crushes in euphoria.

Just got out the movie myself. It was pretty good. I liked the premise I just didn’t find it all that funny. The maid of honor chick was the fricking worst and blew the whole thing way out of proportion

Don’t be so insensitive. Her cousin was a victim of gun violence!

She really was the true villain of the story.

I saw it this past week and almost had to switch last minute because I wasn’t expecting a nearly packed theater after this long and it’s digital release.

Tom Holland is Hollywood’s current golden boy and she just so happens to be in a relationship with him. It’s definitely getting her roles.
