this will be another Disclosure Day IMO. TONS of buzz, big names everywhere, and its not going to make nearly the money they think its going to make
Everything about this statement is wild, considering Disclosure Day had nowhere near the marketing build, nowhere near the buzz or hype, was generally not ecpected to do very well, and has made more money than it was ever expected to make. The only top name attached to Disclosure Day is Speilberg, no big name movie stars.

Audience interest in The Odyssey has dropped eight points in recent weeks, falling from 54 to 46. Awareness dropped from 42 to 40. For a $250 million IMAX epic from one of Hollywood’s most commercially reliable directors, those are numbers that require explanation. .

Reading it now and he makes a great point on how the structure of the poem fits Nolan’s non-linear style perfectly. I didn’t realize it’s mostly told in flashbacks until I started reading it and it jumps around a lot from Odysseus at the end of his journey back to how he started the journey.

Yeah Brolin would’ve destroyed. Christian Bale too.

Rave reviews coming in. I can’t frickin wait.
“The only critic of the bunch, so far, is IndieWire’s David Ehrlich, and he seems mixed-to-positive on it, calling it “too clunky to be S-tier Nolan,” but he does like the final act.”
The rest were the typical paid shills and fanboys that these early reactions bring in.

That dude is a goober but he is pretty knowledgeable. I read a lot of his stuff around Oscar season.
I’m really interested to see what he does with this. He doesn’t disappoint.

It’s almost as if one of our greatest and consistent living filmmakers of the past 20 years is capable of making a great film

Some of you are so desperate for this film to be bad. It’s so weird.
