2 part doc .. part 2 is Tuesday night on PBS

I’ve been waiting on this for a long time as Da Vinci is one of my favorite people to ever exist.

(Narrated by Keith David - hell yeah)

I would like to watch that.

I will be looking forward to Ken Burns’ explanation of how the Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, Salvator Mundi, and other priceless paintings, the engineering and science notebooks, the anatomical studies and illustrations, The Vitruvian Man etc, and the futuristic tecnological designs, were all actually done by blacks.

He has an American Revolution multi-part series coming out next year that I'm both excited and nervous about

Or how DaVinci was a white supremacist whose inaction enabled the Holocaust.

There isn't more of a regime-approved propagandist than Ken fricking Burns.

If Keith David was around, he definitely would have been encouraged.

--You're right about Burns in recent years, but Based on watching Part 1 last night, I'd say you're wrong...this time.

Ken Burns' early documentaries were fantastic: Huey Long, "Empire of the Air" (early radio) and of course, the Civil War.

Conservative when they watch a long documentary about early US History and it discusses one of the most defining issues of early US History:

When did we start hating on Ken Burns? Love his documentaries, between baseball and civil war he's a legend to me.

He allows his liberal bias to influence his "documentaries"

Was watching Part 2 just now, and they had one female commenter/talking head giving insight. The caption underneath said "Ingrid Rossellini, writer".

Curious, I looked it up. Yep, not only Isabella Rossellini's sister, but her twin sister.

Must say it became monotonous

Still worth the watch, but mostly due to subject matter
