Other than not firing Aranda what else makes you think that? I’m not saying you’re wrong as I’m not entirely sure, but I do know those Baptists have a shite ton of money they’ve donated to Baylor to build a new stadium along with renovating the entire campus. My guess is they are just playing the waiting game with the money until they know they have a proven coach. I’m pretty sure they could replicate tech’s situation if they wanted to but just don’t right now.

Even if he wasn't special needs, I don't understand what he did wrong. He set the expectation that he was taking out trash and it would take 30 minutes. He ended up pausing that to take her order anyway. So she got what she wanted, and she voiced her complaint to the manager. What else does she want? A public execution of the employee? A hand-written apology note? Free apple pie?

Isn't the better question whether the DC would want to hire their own position coaches? Is that a thing? I imagine some DCs would want people they know they can work well with.

And I thought they should be in the playoff if just for their defense alone, and because I didn't want Bama in. Except that year it was limited to four teams. Again, it's very different from the situation right now.

That's fair - I think that may just come with the territory. Not sure any staff will be fool proof from idiotic calls. I see 30+ points consistently from LK, while we've had typically terrible or erratic offense, so it should be an improvement. We'll probably be calling to fire him within the first game.

I don't think you realize how terrible our offense has been. We haven't even sniffed 30 points in an SEC game this year. We'll take an occasional dumb run/screen if we know that Lane will take over if it gets out of hand.

We didn't score 30 points in any game this year except one, and he averages over 29 every year. If we just averaged 30 points this year we'd be a top team in the playoff.
