Good job progressive retards. Cavill is an all time casting for Geralt and you fricked it all up.

I thought this would be cool when it came out, but it wasn't.

It wasn't, when the show runners decided pushing political agendas was more important than producing an entertaining show.

The way I heard it, the show was slated to run for 7 seasons, and Cavill said he'd be good for 3 at least, and more if the show stuck with the source material.

The showrunners chose a different path, and so did Cavill.

It was, then it wasn’t. I’ll finish the series because my OCD tells me too, it’s not my fault these shows pull me in and then change up everything.

Hmm, for me when I saw the casting of Yennifer prior to release I had a good idea of where it was headed. Thats just me. If you cant stick to simple casting truths why would you expect sticking to material truths? They show time and again that one follows the other. Its not hard to see.

ETA: For recent examples see Wheel of Time, Rings of Power, etc. The tail wagged the dog.

Love Cavill and he was the only reason this show had anything going for it...but the casting in the original Polish Witcher show was awesome.

Id actually highly recommend any Witcher fans to watch it. The effects are horrible and the base story is different(in a way though that actually makes sense) BUT its a fantastically acted show. If those folks had the technology and budget that Netflix did, it would have been mindblowingly good.

Long bump but I did see that S4 is coming out this winter.

Had a flight last week and couldn’t think of anything else to download so I went with S1 of this. Been rewatching the last week.

It’s absolutely wild to know that S1 has a 68% on RT and S2&3 both have 8-90%+.

My only knock on S1 is that somebody coming in has 0 idea that it was out of order chronologically, but you figured it out after a few episodes.

Absolute banger of a first season.

first season killed

I personally enjoyed S2

S3 was just the worst. Basically the Yennifer show at that point. Making Jaskier a poof is proof that the showrunners are only familiar with images of Dandelion, which all look kinda gay, than the actual character.

Jaskier would vomit at the thought of a man trying to kiss him.

But they see him dressed like this and think "obviously he's takes penis to the mouth"

I liked S3 more than S2.
The deathless mother story was a shiteshow that went on way too long.

i’d be fine just ending it.

whatever lead to Cavill leaving was a huge frick up.

real bummer for a really promising show.

S3 caused him to leave

He allegedly always said he was onboard as long as they stuck, reasonably, with the source material

Has he ever publically said that?

He announced he was back as Superman and he was out as Geralt like 3 weeks apart.

then Black Adam bombed and they hit reset on the DCEU

One bright side of Cavill’s tenure as Geralt is all the sword training. That will make for some incredible action scenes in the upcoming Highlander reboot he is filming with the Wick director Stahelski.
