NBCUniversal will kick off Pride month with a new nature documentary celebrating "queer" animals.

The LGBTQ animal series called "Queer Planet" will premiere on June 6 on the media company's streaming service Peacock.

"Take a worldwide journey exploring the rich diversity of animal sexuality — from flamboyant flamingos to pansexual primates, sex-changing clownfish, multi-gendered mushrooms and everything in between. This documentary looks at extraordinary creatures, witnesses amazing behaviors, and introduces the scientists who are questioning the traditional concept of what’s natural when it comes to sex and gender," the show's synopsis reads.

Actor and show host Andrew Rannells claims in the trailer that the existence of "queer" animals shows how "just two sexes is clearly out of style."

"Nature is full of queer surprises. To be honest, we should all probably get laid a little more than we do," he adds.

Guests in the trailer say only humans have a "stigma" towards being "queer."

"We’ve all heard of gay penguins, but this film really opened my eyes to the full spectrum of LGBTQ+ behaviors across the natural world," Rannells added in a press release. "And what could be more natural than being who you are? I’m excited to be part of ‘Queer Planet,’ especially during Pride Month, and on Peacock, surely the most colorful and glamorous of all the streaming services."

Would love to hear the interviews of the harassment and prejudices from the flamingo about their queerness

Taking another man's dong ain't getting laid. Neither is taking a strap-on from another woman.
Leave the animals alone.

I would like to see a scientist explain if homosexuality became the norm how would any species survive?

And stop with some animals changing their gender like frogs in that shite it would not sustain this species

and I can make the Darwinian argument that that is proof that humans should not be changing their gender , because when nature forces it , its rare

and it's a radical alteration to genetics because nature recognizes without sex between male and female , the species dies

It’s always amusing to me when that community points to the animal kingdom to justify their lifestyles.

My dog licks his own arse and humps the legs of random strangers. I suppose that somehow validates humans who do the same.

I wonder if they’ll point out that two males having sex in the animal kingdom is almost exclusively rape from a more dominant male against an injured/weaker and unwilling participant.

Nah, it's pretty simple actually. You need a male and a female to procreate in the human species. Problem solved.

So humans are just animals now? Or are we a higher order being capable of identifying where we should stick our dicks?

Just ignore them, they'll go away
Is this the hill you want to die on?
Look, the extremes on both sides are ridiculous, but if you resist the celebration of the LBTQXYZ+ lifestyle you're just hateful*.

I’m all for LGBTQ rights but good god. Assigning genders to animals with no higher cognitive abilities is dumb as frick.

And sex changing animals do it out of biological necessity mostly related to reproduction. Jerry becoming Jane isn’t going it out of a biologically driven need to reproduce.

Yeah this seems like it actually mocks gay people in a way. Reducing them down to animals with limited cognitive function?

What else do animals do that we should “celebrate” a human doing? Because that gets awkward real fast
