Me and a couple friends saw that at the theater on Seigen in BR,

my roommate and i saw the fountain in BR at this theater towards the end of the theater's run. we were the only non-workers in the entire complex (and i think there was 1 person working). we had to knock on the window to get somebody in the booth to sell us tickets

Yup. I remember going there one time (may have even been for Beyond the Mat) and the chick sold us our tickets, and then walked around near the door and tore our tickets, and then walked behind the concessions counter and asked us if we wanted anything. I was like "Well this place won't last much longer..."

I wouldn't be surprised if she likely was the one who set up and started our movie as well.

Event Horizon. Had some friends that went see it and told me and some other friends, who were going to the movies, that it was the scariest movie they ever saw. It was horrible.

Also, me and a group of friends went to to Bon Marche (sp?) to watch Tales from the Hood. We were literally the only white people in the theater and the movie sucked.

I can name a few that I've seen at the independent theaters in Houston that probably had no more than 1o people. Off the top of my head:

24 Hour Party People
Buffalo 66
Smoke
Igby Goes Down
Battle of Shaker Heights
Salton Sea
Hero

To answer the original question

House of Wax, I don't think anyone saw that abomination and I was given free screening tickets before it came out

I saw Brotherhood of the Wolf in theatres too, was going to list it but was afraid hardly anyone would know what the hell I was talking about. I've seen it mentioned on here a few times. The cinematic style in that movie is greatness. Was pretty much obsessed with that movie when it came out.

One movie I went see twice and have no idea why is "Deep Blue Sea".

I also went see "Half Baked", but I like that movie, however; I don't know too many other people who saw it in the theater.

I thought the point of this thread was to list movies you've seen in the theater that no one saw period (theater or video release).

Now I wonder how much Synecdoche, NY made at the Box Office. I might have Cocomo's $2M beat.

Mainly just in theaters. Like Office Space was a good one, because it made shite at the BO, but is now insanely popular.

But the other way works as well, like seeing movies in theaters that nobody else you know has ever seen. It's whatever.

I remember going to see House of the Dead back in 2003 at the theater. I went with a friend on a Sunday afternoon after it had just come out. It was pretty fricking horrible to say the least.

I use to see a lot of movies in the theater, I am sure I have a ton more but I can't remember them.

I am not sure how well "Two for the Money" did, but I saw that one and I don't know too many other people who went see it.

Did anyone here go see "Vanilla Sky"? That's another on my list.
