I watch that every time I see it on... still don't understand everything. What parts we're real or not.

Not necessarily needed to understand it, but Hot Fuzz has so many clever gags throughout the movie that you almost always pick up something new on multiple viewings.
The punchlines are actually in the first half of the movie and set up in the later half. It’s brilliant.

What we can say about Nolan here, we can probably also say about Lynch.
So, Mulholland Drive, at a minimum, and certainly more than Dune or Blue Velvet. Twin Peaks is a horse of a different color, of course.
Just now catching up to this thread and was looking for David Lynch.
Bought the dvd and watched Mulholland Drive multiple times. Back after it came out, there were all kinds of web theories that there was some key that explained everything, and one of my friends who's a big Lynch fan claimed it was easy once you put it together......and yet....no one could ever explain what that was.
Also think the post-shower scene might have been the only time I've ever gotten a boner in a theater.

I don't know if its understanding, appreciation or some combination of both but No Country for Old men is one for me.
Another poster said Godfather 2. That movie is actually one of my favorite movies of all time. I will watch it whenever its on. I fully "understand" the Godfather series but I see something new almost every time I watch that movie.

Inherent Vice. Especially confusing if you are unfamiliar with the book. Being high may or may not be helpful.
