Old Yeller - Scene where Travis is forced to shoot Old Yeller.

Balto - Ending scene where the grandmother thanks the statue of Balto, and you realize that she is the grown up Rosie.

Where the Red Fern Grows - Old Dan's death.

Something for Joey - John's Heisman speech

50/50 right before JGL goes to surgery he shows genuine fear for the first time that if the surgery fails, he’s going to die and grabs his Mom. shite gets me every time

Rudy getting to play in front of his family and seeing the elation on all their faces never fails to bring on some tears as well

1). Scene from Miracle right after Brooks speech and they are walking out to the ice past the telegrams and one by one the guys go out on the ice and Rizzo gives a tap to each player and has some words of encouragement and then the US hockey director gives Rizzo a tap so he’s not the only player that doesn’t get a head tap. That gets me every single time. Getting me know thinking about it

2). Haven’t seen it in a while but there is a scene at the end of My Life where Michael Keaton’s character is about to die and his dad is shaving his face for him. Oh man, water works

United 93 - Ending scene

That scene is tough to watch and so powerful.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned Brians Song yet.

Another low key movie that gets me emotional is Friday night lights the movie. 1. When boobie cries in the car with his uncle and 2. Final play in the title game

This is a good one and I was not prepared for that scene and it wrecked me. I’m an only child and very close with my mom and I can’t rewatch that movie because of the scene

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945) got to me and, of course, Old Yeller and Where the Red Fern Grows got me as a kid (haven’t seen them in decades but would probably still give me a lump in the throat today).

Kevin Costner having flashbacks of his childhood playing ball and memories with his dad while pitching in his last game in “For the Love of the Game.”

I had those same type of flashbacks during my last game in college.

I get a little choked up typing that….

1. Anytime a dog dies that you been attached to for the entirety of the movie

2. Field of Dreams “you wanna have a catch” scene

3. Might be random, but when Prof Xavier dies in Logan and Logan is just losing it because of the guilt of not being able to stop it.

Never "cried", but definitely teary-eyed:

-The aforementioned "About Time" and "50/50" scenes.

-The last ~30 minutes of "Grave of Fireflies"

And a few that only sort of apply to this thread:

-The end of "Six Feet Under" finale.

-A few scenes from Futurama ("Luck of the Fryfish" and "Jurassic Bark")

Those Futurama scenes were probably the most emotional/affective, because while I really liked the show, I wasn't a fanatic or anything.
