Some great ones already mentioned would like to add, Amon Goeth's shooting the architect that pointed out they were building the uilding wrong in Schindler's List. The pure uncompassioned killing for no reason.

Even though the Saw movies are obviously full of disturbing death scenes, there was one that I always remember and it will pop up in my head every once in a while and freak me out. Can't remember which one it was... I think it was Saw 2... they had a black guy strapped to a crank that would twist his arms, legs, and head one notch every few seconds or so. When the final few twists happen and his bones snap and pop out his skin... that sound... man that whole scene is just messed up.

The first time watching The Deer Hunter, I thought the Russian Roulette game in the opium den was truly disturbing. Something about everyone betting on peoples lives, not giving a shite, shows how terrible human beings can be. Then Christopher Walken’s face while flopping over and Robert Deniro crying was way too realistic.

That robocop scene is brutal, especially when I watched it as a kid. Such a great movie though.

Supposedly they toned that seen down some to avoid and X/NC-17 rating.

That is a really great call. Probably due to my age when I first saw it but what was even worse to me was the winking/bleeding photo of Georgie.

The scene in 2005 King Kong where Lumpy the cook gets eaten by those worms looks like a bad way to go. That whole scene of being stuck in a canyon surrounded by giant insects would have to be terrifying.

frick you for making me remember that scene. Almost any scene involving giant insects still fricks me up to this day just as much as when I was 4.
