The Dark Knight Rises - Chris Nolan

Yeah the story sucks, but it has some really good elements. Like Batman fighting his way back after getting rekt. It’s not a great movie or anything, but it’s fun, quotable, and ends a fantastic Batman take. I like it.

Probably one of the greatest car chases / heists in film history where they are going down the LA interstate against the flow of traffic. Also one of the better deconstructions of the buddy cop film out there with a great cast including Willem Dafoe as the counterfeiter, Dean Stockwell as a scuzzy lawyer, and Jane Leeves (Daphne from Frazier) as the girl who has a threesome with Dafoe and his girlfriend.

He chose unknown actors for the movie because he didn't want the talent over shadowing the story. He could've had anyone he wanted for that movie.

The Limey - Soderbergh ….. though Out of Sight was favorably received and not particularly underrated to me.

Purple Rose of Cairo is Woody Allen’s best film.

Good one. I was going to say Sexy Beast but all Glazer's stuff is pretty much underrated.

I wouldn't call a major blockbuster release "underrated."

Yeah, he listed some very critically acclaimed movies. I thought all of those were considered classics and not underrated, but rated perfectly. But maybe he means as unpopularity? I don’t know. They’re pretty popular as well lol. I would’ve maybe said deathproof for Quentin Tarantino, Hard Eight for Paul Thomas Anderson, and Incendies for Denis.

I was just naming stuff I don't really hear people bring up. like when people talk about Tarantino it's always pulp Fiction or Django, etc. Or like for Scorcese its always Goodfellas but not After Hours. You see what I mean? Movies that the average cinephile has seen but not your average person.
