Avengers Endgame. Movie was dogshit when it released 6 years ago, and it’s still dogshit now.

I’m going to join the OP on death hill and say The Dark Knight. For the young ‘uns here, it’s impossible to describe the level of fanboy that occurred on this board that summer. It’s a very flawed movie that I still watch sometimes when it comes on.

I know this will be a hot take but I honestly don’t think Ledger was all that great of a joker. He was much better in Monster’s Ball imo

I don’t think Avatar is highly rated by many people, so…

The Passion of the Christ - You can tell Mel Gibson was passionate about this film, but it just wasn't a good movie.

I don’t know what film you watched, but The Passion of the Christ was phenomenal. I say that as an agnostic. The musical score is beautiful and has so much emotion. The sets/cinematography were designed to give scenes a Renaissance-style painting feel. There’s a reason why it was a huge hit world wide. It’s not your conventional religious film and that’s why it was huge among secular audiences.

If anything, The Chosen has to be one of the most overrated Christian shows/films. The show is okay for the most part but holy shite there are some badly directed scenes. The “Hosanna, our king is victorious” scene from Season 4 was one of the most uninspiring, lackluster, and cringeworthy things I’ve ever seen in a long time. Everything about that scene is pure dogshit, from the cinematography to the terrible music.

Shawshank. A perfectly fine movie. It just doesn't belong with the greats.

Big Lebowski is severely overrated by this board.

Certainly not Pacino. He was almost terrible in this.

It shows how good of a director FFC was in Godfather I & II. He kept a lid on Pacino. In almost everything else he's in he's a hammy, overacting hack. A Scent of a Woman is borderline parody. Heat is not much better.

Inception was clever, but I never got why people on the board spent so many posts trying to analyze every little nuance of a fantasy movie…

Everyone saw it but it still made minimal impact on the culture like Star Wars or say the MCU. No one cares about the blue monkey-cat people.

It’s just Pocahontas in space.

To this day, I don't know that I've ever met a single person who saw the film that could quote one memorable line/scene.

I am a Brad Pitt fan but never understood the love for Fight Club.

Another one is Mad Max Fury Road. No appeal and just seems like such an overplayed storyline.

Also the fascination with the Matrix. I enjoyed the movie but never had a desire to watch it again.

Saturday Night Fever.... I recently watched it and could not believe how bad it was. It did not age well at all.

Fargo.... the only reason I finished it was because it had to get better........... it didn't.

The Crying Game... don't... just don't.

I've seen it several times. I want to like it, it seems like something I would like. But I still don't really 'get it'.

The only movie my wife and I ever walked out of … Annie Hall.

I read 2001: A Space Odyssey in Vietnam and went to watch it first chance I got when I went home. What a letdown.

Quiz Show, Casablanca, There Will Be Blood, The Departed, Oppenheimer, Tenet, Hateful Eight, Once Upon A Time In The West … just didn’t like them.

And most Netflix movies.
