Never post much, just read, but the most disturbing to me was in Black Hawk Down, when the soldiers rapeled from the chopperto protect the downed pilot, knowing they were going to die. Heroic, but extremely disturbing. In fact, several other scenes were nearly as bad. Knowing it all actually happened, I felt physically ill, just couldn't separate the movie from the reality and kept covering my eyes.

About 5 or 6 scenes in Happiness. Pretty much any scene with the father.

Funny Games, pretty much the entire movie. I have never been so uncomfortable watching a movie before.

"The Last House on the Left" and "I Spit On Your Grave" were both extremely disturbing.

Couldn't agree more...didn't initially think of this movie when thinking of "disturbing" but you are exactly right...extremely UNCOMFORTABLE

1) Pet Semetary - When the little boy gets hit by the 18-wheeler.
2) Serpent and The Rainbow - Nail through the scrotum.
3) Black Rain - When Andy Garcia is decapitated while Michael Douglas watches behind a locked fence.
4) Murder in the First - When the warden slices Kevin Bacons achilles tendon.

Legends of the Fall - when Brad Pitt's character watches his brother get shot and then tangled in the barbed wire. Also the end where his wife gets killed right in front of him.

I saw a terrible B movie a while back called "Dead End". It was an awful movie but had some pretty disturbing stuff in it.

Movies don't really affect me too much either, or at least I don't usually let them.

Some good suggestions in this thread though.

Pretty much anything involving the achilles heel getting fricked with makes me cringe (Hostel and House of Wax come to mind).

Also stuff where loved ones are killed or kill themselves and the other is helpless. Like the scene in Devil's Advocate where Keanu Reeves watches Charlize cut herself through the chained glass window, and he could do nothing but watch her die.

The knife scene in SPR wasn't disturbing to me, but it was definitely a pretty powerful scene though.

6. Alive- the movie about the rugby team who are plane wrecked and forced into eating their friends (I was very young).

That freaked me out too. I kept telling myself it was just beef jerky they were actually eating, but it didn't help.
