Also feels like this show, while awesome, could get completely absurd soon with the whole Cat McCalister, cartel, etc. plot lines.

I’d almost prefer a more realistic, local UK organized crime type situation.

But it’s an A+ on entertainment value.

This was my thought after it came up that Conrad used to bang Kevin’s wife.

Confirmed that Maeve has known all along and has a firm distaste for Conrad’s kids. The same way she views Harry. Her contributions to the Harrigan bloodline haven’t been the strongest. Conrad realizes this and this is why Sofia can do as she pleases and Harry is in charge of running the day to day. Sofia needs to get the frick away asap. Eddie…still figuring out what she has pl be anned there…but guessing he will some how be her Deus ex machina to blow it all up.

Seraphina, not Sofia

Interesting but when he went off looking to kill that prison dude I wonder if that is somehow linked? Such a good show.
I think that he sees his prison tormentor as the cause of all of his problems. Killing that prison guard is also something that he has some control over. He's powerless in his family, but this is a personal debt that he can take care of on his own.

I don’t think either of them realize Kevin knows. I think Conrad is holding this secret over Bella that isn’t really a secret. Of course we knew Maeve knew about it from the get go, like I said at the beginning no grandmother plies her true grandson with coke or puts him in the crosshairs of a murder and war. Her plan is to take out Conrad, Bella, Harry, Serephina and Eddie.

See, I feel like her and Harry could possibly be in cahoots. Can't remember if we know how Harry even met the family and got involved?

Harry had that line with Conrad about it was his job to know everyone/everything. I feel like that was your foreshadowing.

Harry and Kevin were cell mates. Or at least in prison together based on one of the flashbacks.

You mean like offing 2 cops heading up a mob unit? Its not like that can just be explained away and people will stop looking.

The weird thing about this to me is that Conrad should see right through it. Her high opinion of Eddie would make no sense given her utter contempt for Seraphina.

Maeve is clearly a blind spot for him though, so maybe he genuinely has no idea that she knows about Eddie.

What was the deal with Harry’s talk to Eddie and saying he’ll push him off the top when he ascends the ranks? Is the implication just that he will kill Eddie at some point?

Basically saying he could if he wanted to.

Kind of an interesting conversation, especially compared with his earlier scene with Conrad, where he's saying to him that he would never betray them because he would be dead inside a week, if he did. Then just a few minutes later Harry is heavily hinting to Eddie that without him there is no Harrigan family and Eddie is only the future boss if he allows it.

Wonder if he is as scared of Conrad as he always claims he is.

I don’t think he is, he’s telling Conrad what he wants to hear

If kat is that powerful, he’d be pretty well insulated from any harrigan payback had he taken the job offer from her.

In this scenario of Eddie being in charge, Conrad is long gone.

Yea - I think both statements could be true...

Betray Conrad - Dead in a week.

Betray Eddie - Who is left to take revenge?
