Cobra Kai just continuing to hit home runs. These showrunners have done about as perfect of a job as I could imagine.

I hope Silver finds him via full page karateman ad

He was my favorite villain of the KK movies, although he couldn’t act worth a shite.

I quit watching half way through season 2. is this show still any good?

That's pretty great. They should have saved his reveal during the season though

I'm pumped up to see Mike Barnes. I hope they bring the other two goons back too.

I just read that goon number 2 is actually named Snake Silver. That’s right, Terry has a son! How did I not know this?

Terry Silver is the ultimate bad guy. Add Barnes to the mix and that's a helluva duo. But what happens to Kreese?

It is time for a Kreese redemption story now. Vietnam f*ed him up.

The scene where he flips out on Daniel on the mat at the end was pretty good, and he apparently improvised it.

My favorite off that show by far.

Barnes was the by far the the most superior fighter Daniel faced from the movies. He was technically skilled, powerful and brutal.
Barnes and Chozen would’ve been an ok fight in their primes but Barnes likely finishes him fairly easy after a brief back and forth to start the match
Johnny, Kresse and Silver have been the best characters in the CK series to this point IMO

frick no. The whole point of KK2 was to show Daniel’s progression as a fighter and a person. Daniel beat Johnny but he still was a mid tier karate practitioner until he expanded and got better in Okinawa. He was the most focused in KK pt2, and was more confident and mature. Physically, he was much stronger than his KK1 self. He progressed a lot from the first tournament, was being taught the secret to Miyagi's karate, was not afraid of taking damage like he was in the first movie, and was able to easily break through six blocks of ice. By the end of the movie, after he defeated Chozen, he became a mature ,strong, lethal man. Daniel being even remotely scared of Barnes was just a terrible fricking decision. And Daniel barely beat Chozen even after all that. Chozen would defeat Barnes.
What would have been more realistic was basically reverse 2&3 and have Daniel finally overcome his fear and become the badass in the final movie. But they reversed it. That isn’t to say Barnes doesn’t deserve credit. Dude was a powerhouse and was one of the top karate teens in America. But I firmly believe Daniel and Chozen would have beaten Mike if they hadn’t nerfed Daniel into oblivion. Mike was strong but he used rage and fear to overcome his opponents. Daniel from pt2 tanks that easily after fighting Chozen and is technically more skilled. Same for Chozen.

Have said this before on here...that's the giant hole in the trilogy.
The timeline is so bad.
He was basically trained as a real killer in Part II and then comes back to the States and 3 months later he suddenly doesn't know Karate?
Part III presupposes Daniel has just been sitting on the beach all summer drinking light beer and kicking his stupid soccer ball.
In November, 1984 Daniel defeats Johnny.
In June, 1985 Daniel defeats Chozen in a fight to the death.
In October of that SAME year, Daniel has to be re-trained by Cobra Kai...because apparently he sucks again.
Apparently Miyagi's teachings had a 3 month shelf-life. Why do you have to be retrained??? You just returned from retraining and fighting to the death!
You can't remember? Did Kumiko break your concentration?
Well maybe...

quote:Dutch is played by Steve McQueen's son, who owns a racing team. I don't think they could work anything out with him because of his schedule, but I did read that he's not 100% out and is technically on standby to be in the show.
Dutch is the last hold out I guess.
I need Hillary Swank to roll in and crush Silver. It's the only thing we haven't seen yet.
