I know I'm not the only one tired of Ryan Reynolds.

What, you don't want to see Ryan Reynolds play Ryan Reynolds any more?

The lovable douchebag act gets old when you really are a douchebag.

I’ll watch this just for Branagh, even if he is phoning in that Russian accent.

Like virtually all recent releases, I can't wait to ignore this polished claptrap of contrived drama.

Was hoping at the beginning of that trailer he'd tone down the Ryan Reynolds, but alas, he did not. Went full Ryan Reynolds in the second half of the trailer

I'll stream this when I'm bored, but that guy really needs someone to tell him to stop being himself in every role.

It's a tongue in cheek action movie set in Russia in the 80's. The cinematography looks great and it looks like it will be a good time. Branagh and Reynolds seem like a fun pair in this setting. I'll look forward to it and watch it happily.

Whatever happened with that situation with Blake Lively and that director guy, it pulled back the curtain on how awful she and Ryan are.

I think it proves an eternal truth that a lot of actors are POS and nothing like their public media persona. People see 30-second clips on the red carpet and them in movies and assume that's how they are in real life.

Same here.

I love RR. His personal life doesn't affect me watching his movies at all. I never understood that stance. Someone like Alec Baldwin may be a piece of shite human being, but he has some awesome movies. I generally always enjoy RR in his movies, whether he's playing himself or not.

it's the same directors from Game Night and D+D .... so the material is in good hands.

I saw a rough cut of it in late 24' and actually jumped on for some reshoots for it in NYC. I think it will be a fine finished product. RR was very pleasant in person, though I know that's a small sample size. Other than this Blake Lively nonsense, I've never heard much negativity about him. Her .... not so much.

The latest drama with his wife & her director has tossed a big wet towel on the RR love fest. It was such an own goal and for what possible reason?

But Branagh is solid.

My fatigue with him has nothing to do with his personal life. He just plays his sarcastic self in almost every role.

ETA:

And I really enjoyed it for years to be fair, but now I've got fatigue

I think it was more Blake Lively and him having to stick by his wife's side.

I don't think he's a shitty person like her.

that is true ... I fondly recall early ABC Friday nights with 2 guys, a girl and a PP before hitting the Bayou or whatever drinking hole by campus. He was basically the same then.

I still like RR. Really like Branagh so I will watch this. Assuming Branagh’s character is ex KGB that was sent to Siberia for not towing the company line. Looks fun.

Absolutely love that show and hate that it is so forgotten (or just completely unknown by most). I did a rewatch a couple years ago and it still holds up pretty well. But the 90s vibe on the show is just so great.
