My favorite anecdote about the show was a second hand story about Chris Farley. He had a crush on an actress that Reynolds was dating and tried to get a couple of friends in on a plan to beat up RR.

I watched this earlier today. It was ok. Some of the Navy stuff being completely wrong was irritating, but that's expected with movies.

He's the poster child for millennial writing. Being exposed as power hungry giga douche has sealed his fate with me.

Really easy, enjoyable movie to watch. Nothing to write home about but fun and funny with good action sequences.
Although RR’s reaction to Branagh’s daughter would not have been that in the 80s, was still fine. A bit shoehorned, but fine and didn’t take anything away from the rest of the story.

It was… okay. But Ryan is playing Desdpool in everything now. Which is a shame because he does have enough acting chops to not resort to thst shite in every role.

Wife and I enjoyed it.

Oh, the 80s where we all sat around discussing the Cuban Missile Crisis?

Light hearted and very predictable but I did enjoy. Favorite line to me was
Colonel Sanders.
Colonel Sanders.

Yeah a bunch of buzzkills in this thread lol.
Three generations men and women here in town and we watched it tonight and all loved it. Laugh out loud funny at parts (the closet scene
80s soundtrack was awesome as well.
Great Friday night flick. “It tastes like America”

I definitely would never have picked Branagh as the next old guy action hero. lol.

The kid staring at him at the dinner table was hilarious.

Little Gorgo, he’s a demon
And yeah about Branagh being the next action star, I hadn’t seen any previews so when that first fight broke out I lost my shite
