I thought Solo was a decent flick
This. I'm really kind of pissed off about the hate that the fanbase projected onto Solo. That was a good movie.

I am wondering if disney is testing releasing some of their TV series as “movies” first.
this is pretty common in Anime.
I think they're trying anything
The Demon Slayer movie was one of the best movies last year, period.

I mean, if they were making an expensive season of The Mandolorian then they just made more money putting it in theatres and then they’d get Disney+ viewers.
not sure if that’s the idea of what.

$163 million for what’s basically a condensed TV show season put into a movie isn’t really that bad

They may manage to break even by the end, if they can get a solid week 2.

You should blame Disney instead of the fans.

They’ll have to make at least $600 million to break even

“However, the company isn't just relying on ticket sales: Other avenues for revenue growth include merchandise, its streaming service and theme park”
Merch sales for this trash? Who’s signing up for MORE Disney Star Wars based on this movie??

Anyone who wanted a Grogu doll already has a Grogu doll. This isn't going to be the merchandising campaign of the original trilogy.

Uh oh, the Disney accountants have arrived. If this movie has a decent hold on Tuesday and Wednesday, they'll be saying it has to at least $700 million to reak even. Can't wait for more of their fake math.

You clowns just make shite up and lie to yourselves to make yourselves feel better. Sad

Dude, you don't have to be a giant pussy at all times. I mean it's hilarious just how big of a pussy you are.
Jay are is an insufferable clown, but that was a funny comment. I'm not an adult eat up with Disney so I can actually laugh at random comments.
I don't know what the break even number is and honestly neither does the Hollywood reporter seeing as they didn't even factor in the 20+ million tax credit they got so the production cost would be at about 144 million. The board has always gone the 2-2.5x route as a general rule of thumb. So no, I don't believe a texas atm movie board poster who says they need AT LEAST 600 million to break even. And people can say they aren't making money on merchandise but that's just being purposefully obtuse.
But again, you're a pussy, just in case all that was said in between made you forget my main point.

Posters like that couldn’t run a snowball stand. They’re educated to not understand money on purpose.

It was funny to deliberately lie and insult people who are posting facts.. why?
You’re laughing at it because his lie reinforces your worldview. Why can’t you debate the truth?
That’s the real mark of a “pussy” and we both know you’ll bend the knee if you care to meet at sonic

Notice how mad they get when I post factual articles before the news hits the zeitgeist that don't agree with how they see things. Helen casting, initial Mando reactions, the studio math.. string of bangers lately where they take the bait

Facts to them is like holy water to a vampire.
