Need a new series to watch

OK enough. You'll probably end up rooting for the bad guys, they're much more interesting and typically superior actors. The season ended pretty damn strong, though, enough to get me fairly excited for S2, which starts Friday I believe.

I enjoyed it, it started kind of slow, but once it started going I really got into it.

Hyperbole story with the nazis and Japan winning WWII?
I think I read this book on the past

It has so much potential but it's SOOOO boring.

yeah.
It is a cool story.
****Spoilers****
they realize they are not in the world that should be. The last scene of the first season really shows this. Hitler hinted at it, everyone else just thinks the movies are fakes, when they really show what could have been and what still could be.

I would actually like to see the whole war story.
I think Japan attacked Siberia rather than Pearl Harbor. Germany invaded England and the US stayed out of the war. Then Germany took over Africa and started manufacturing tons of material. Then in the early 50's Germany and Japan launched a joint attack on the US and pushed to the Rockies from both directions. They established a neutral zone at the rockies and each side claimed it's land. Canada was never mentioned, nor was Mexico.
I love Alt-WW2 history. Reading 'Hitler's War' now by turtledove. In it Chamberlin stands up to Hitler, goes to War over Czechoslovakia, Spain's Jose Sanjuro didn't die in a plane crash so the Spanish civil war was a bigger deal, and japan is more focused on Russia than the pacific.
Don't know where it's going yet, but classic Turtledove for sure.

First ep of season 2 just dropped.

I second the "boring" comment. It has a painfully slow pace. The first episode got me hooked so I forced myself to finish out the season. My favorite actor by far in it is Rufus Sewell. His scenes are very captivating

It's slow but it should keep your interest. I'm gonna start season 2 this weekend.
Have you watched Marco Polo on Netflix? If not, I'd recommend it as well.

Good, not great. Most people here seemed to like it well enough until the back half of season 1. It's hard to describe without spoiling, let's just say there was a significant change in the focus of the show that left a lot of people scratching their heads. It should make season 2 pretty interesting though.

I thought the first season was good. I'm going to try to read the book before season 2 though. I'm still tying to catch up on all the stuff on my kindle.

I just finished it. First 6 episodes are like most of the first season: OK enough, but not great. A situation where I'm watching mostly because I'm interested in the world moreso than for the quality of the show. From episode 7 on, it keeps getting better and better. The last 3 episodes are the best in the series.
-Frank continues to be one of the worst characters in television history.
-Juliana Crane and Joe Blake are more tolerable than in S1.
-The Nazi and Japanese characters/actors continue to be superior.
-The show added some quality actors for some of the new characters, but they unfortunately don't get much screen time outside of the guy from Californication and Memento.
-As good as the final few episodes are, the penultimate scene has an eye-rolling cliffhanger. The final scene is a bit tougher to put together the meaning of. I had a theory but it fell apart after a few minutes.

Yeah, I finished season two today and thought it was fantastic.
The slow burn pace of season one set-up for a great second season.
And the way the season ended has left open so many great possibilities for season three.
Too bad we have to wait a year to see it play out.
