I showed some View Askew films to my 16 year old son recently. I enjoyed them, but they arent great movies.
My son loved them, and I over heard him call someone a 'cock knocking queer' on a facetime the other night, so i know they made an impression.

watched it again recently with my wife (who'd never seen it) one of my favorite parts in that movie is when dude looks at Shannen Doherty and says "Brenda?" and she gets pissed and hits him. It's just fricking perfect.

They put her front and center in Meet Joe Black and that movie was a disaster.
But she looked AMAZING. Image of her in that gray t-shirt is burned into my mind.

'Do it Doug!'
I say it all the time. Confuses my wife because she's never seen the movie and she has a brother named Doug.

Overall, it is what it is: a time capsule when a movie like this received a theatrical release
Barely. Gramercy had zero faith in it and it was only released in 850 theaters.

Forlani couldn't act
That was the problem. She was beautiful for sure but a liability as an actress

Almost as bad is Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith as Jay and Silent Bob.
Were they ever good?
I have to admit, I'm of that generation, and they should have been in my wheelhouse, but I never "got" them.

And I've wanted to watch Chasing Amy for a while, but after watching Mallrats my desire to see it went down a bit.
Its his best movie, better in a lot of ways than Clerks.

The 90's were very good for Kevin Smith.

Don’t know if I missed it , but 3 pages and no one has brought up Kevin Smiths masterpiece..Jay and Silent Bob strike back. Yes I know it’s a moronic stupid movie. But damn I laugh my arse off every time I watch it.
