You know what?

I didn't notice that the crew that stormed the bridge were all women.

I didn't notice that the bad guy was black.

I didn't notice that the guy who saved them was white.

I noticed all that but...

No,

You just don’t know what you’re talking about.

Luke Skywalker is infinitely more popular than Ezra and Ahsoka

Yikes. Didn't say they were. But people were excited about Ahsoka and would have been equally as excited about Ezra.

You still keep ignoring my point, but thats fine. I never expected otherwise.

in which you were the only one to point out, because you absolutely care about the characters genders/race

The Mandalorian was not a female focused show until the last season there were some scenes. Outside of that it stuck to the core story.

Rogue One wasn't really a female story either. It was pretty ambiguous given the entire cast of characters.

both of those shows fit the "female or POC main character" mold and both were very well done

Really ? Then why did they treat Fin as a token, say he was on sanitation ( garbage ) detail and write him out of the main story? And why did they remove Rose Tico from the merch and advertising ?

Disney-Star Wars is going to continue to fail, and it's going to be glorious.

Was Princess Leia not a main character?

I said "equivalent reaction to Luke Skywalker". The answer is no one because Luke Skywalker was a popular character established through the OT and other mediums. Has nothing to do with him being white.

I'm not ignoring your point. You're point seems to be "don't criticize shows that I like and pointing out any criticisms makes you a triggered complainer".

Its just a deflection. You've been dancing around the central point the entire time by casting off any observations as just complaining to complain. Why even come in here with a response if that's all you can say?

I'm not the one deciding who gets casted. I'm not the one fixated on what race/gender is in media, thats Hollywood. They make the decisions, not me.

Whatever man, you're a strange guy.

You seem utterly convinced Hollywood has no agenda when it comes to what races/genders are shown in their media. I know, especially for the most popular properties, they're very deliberate with every scene/ moment. It's a religion for Hollywood. They think of themselves as the cultural standard.

A couple of things...

Every person I have ever met has been a person of color, ain't seen a colorless fool yet.

Women are the Majority, why are we letting them oppress a minority?

Why not a female gay trans POC for every film? Leslie Jones needs the work.

This is what the wokies don't get, announcements like this a pure virtue signaling and makes me think they are just laying the ground work to lable any critics as bigots the ole sexist/racist/homophobe and now we add transphobe. Its cover for shitty writing and shitty projects by people who have no original ideas.

Princess Leia was a hero to millions, great character. Rouge One is the most liked movie aside from the Original Trilogy the heros are a woman a LatinX dude, 2 asians and a gay robot, all the bad guys are white guys, no one cares because it was a good story

Would get 100% on Rottentomatoes, all the Saturn Awards, many Oscars. . .and make about 10 grand total box office.

If it was, it was done in a perfect, seamless manner.

As opposed to Endgame where they just suddenly jammed every female hero into one frame for no plausible reason.

This wasn't an announcement, though.

Just "inside info" leaked by a dubious source.

I mean, you can't do Rogue Squadron without Wedge.

And Obi Wan has a white male lead.

Story is anti-SJW porn.

They put out a casting call for a woman of color within the last few months.

If they'd just do this naturally it would work a lot better than this mandate and forcing it

Pedro as Mando - great
Rosario as Ahsoka - great
John Boyega's character - no thanks

Doesn't it suck that everything, movies, tv, sports, is hyper-focused on race 24/7? Doesn't it get tedious to you people, regardless of whatever "side" you're on?
