Are y'all taking prime Apollo over prime Clubber? That's tough for me.

Nonsense. Clubber WAS in his prime when he fought Rocky. He wasn't getting better than what we saw. Rocky used Apollo's training and methods to defeat Clubber!

Apollo would laugh at Clubber's intimidation attempts. In the ring, he would've danced & jabbed and not get touched by Clubber. By the middle rounds, Clubber would be gassed and Apollo would start to let his hands go eventually getting the round 7-10 stoppage.

Rocky is #1. Rocky being trained by Apollo and his guys is basically the "what if Cus didn't die" when it comes to Tyson. How much better could Rocky's career have been if he had that kind of training camp from the beginning?

Clubber at 5 seems to high. He was raw power, but not a technical boxer.
Adonis is way to high, but could be i just don't like the character

When Clubber was hungry, prior to his first fight with Rocky, he was unstoppable. Rocky had to both change his fighting style, and reawaken his burning heart in order to find the eye of the tiger and take down Lang.

That said you can't discount how quickly he got content after beating Rocky. Once he lost his laser focus his boxing skills werent up to task. It is almost like dealing with two different fighters.

I would drop him down. Id probably put Mason Dixon in at 5 and drop Lang down to 8.

Clubber Lang was basically Tyson. Foreshadowed his rise and fall.

Tommy Gunn was a real boxer. He is easily top 5.

What happened is the complete opposite of
your post. You're discrediting that Rocky was no longer hungry going into the Clubber fight. The reason Rocky had to reawaken himself and his motivation in the first place is because he lost it prior to fight one. Let's not even mention his trainer, mentor and father figure literally dying in the dressing room during the fight.

Clubber didn't win fight 1 because he was hungry and then lost fight 2 because he became content after beating Rocky. It was the complete opposite, as mentioned! Clubber won fight 1 because Rocky became content & distracted before that fight. And when Clubber fought a focused, hungry Rocky, he got embarrassed.

Clubber was one dimensional but, to his credit, capitalized on his opportunity when he had a chance to fight a softer, not focused champion.

He was also a real POS. Leave him at the bottom for his antics.

How can Drago be behind Apollo Creed when he literally killed him in the ring.

I also think Ivan would smash Adonis. Victor almost did and he was not Ivan

1 - Ivan Drago
2 - Rocky Balboa
3 - Apollo Creed
4 - Clubber Lang
5 - Adonis Creed

Ivan Drago crushes everyone on this list. He even crushed Rocky, but with the motivation personally and what was at stake politically, Rocky overcame. A Drago/Lang fight would be fun to watch, but Drago would beat Clubber down after the first few rounds.

Apollo's style and experience would put him above the rest of the group outside of Drago (for obvious reasons) and Rocky (Rocky just had Apollo's number).

I don't think Adonis has a shot at beating prime Clubber Lang so they go 4 & 5 accordingly.

Side note - Tommy Gunn and Victor Drago are criminally underrated on this list.

With the caveat of "in the Rocky/Creed universe" that is what makes Rocky #1. The guy was almost always outclassed, but could get up one more time than whoever he faced. Prime Apollo, I suspect, is #1. He's basically Ali. I'd put Rocky at #2 and Drago a close #3.

I never bought Adonis Creed, which is more a fault of lesser movies than the character. Lang, as others have said, is Tyson... a pure puncher. Drago had that power plus speed, Apollo would have wore him out and motivated Rocky can take the damage.

Where's Thunderlips?!

"The Ultimate Male" tossed "The Ultimate Meatball," Rocky Balboa, into the third row with relative ease.

I'm not sure a prime Apollo can beat a serious Drago.

Rocky went through the depths of hell to beat Drago and suffered brain damage. Rocky should have died from the injuries in that fight.

Rocky was technically at his best when he fought Clubber with expert training and starting over but he threw it out the window midffight.

Drago was technically a horrible fighter, a lumbering one-armed big right hand with no defense who stood wide open...think Dontay Wilder.

If Rocky could take his punch, Drago couldn't defend any onslaught. PFP Clubber was the better fighter and probably #3.

The boxing style of Rocky was a bad match up with Lang.

Rocky had to change his fighting style or else he would lose again.

You have to rank Rocky and Adonis first. They'd never lose in their movies.
