For old school I’d add It Happened One Night and maybe Charade. Heck, you could throw in a lot of Cary Grant Movies like Father Goose and Houseboat.
Jerry McGuire is a rom com disguised as a football movie.
For my off the wall no that’s not really a rom com pick, I’ll go with Smokey & The Bandit. He only takes his hat off for two things ya know.

Really old school, but the first Rom-Com might very well be The Thin Man. William Powell and Myrna Loy pretty much built the framework for romantic banter and flirty behavior on screen in this first of a series.

Moonstruck (1987) is another one I love. The older couples add a lot to the movie.
Always (1989) is another one I really enjoy.
A few, more classic love story movies I'd recommend are:
Splendor in the Grass - (1961)
Somewhere in Time - (1980)
Doctor Zhivago - (1965)
Roman Holiday - (1953)
