Let's Cast: The Muppets Odyssey

Saw an interesting idea earlier where people were saying the Muppets would make a great retelling of "The Odyssey". I cant help but agree.
I think Kermit should be Odysseus
Miss Piggy- Penelope, but only so she can complain the whole time about how Helen isn't that pretty... then have Helen played by someone like Margot Robbie.

I think Helen should definitely be human.
I'd say that Antinous would also be a good choice... would be great seeing him try to woo Miss Piggy. Also would make for a good bad guy having him human, I'd go as far as saying keep Pattinson in that role.

Kermit at Odysseus and Piggy as Penelope are both good.
Telemachus would be difficult given Kermit and Piggy don’t have kids so we’d have to break Muppet lore there.
Fozzie bear would obviously have to be Eurylochus, his first mate and second in command.
Gonzo as Achilles.
There are very few female Muppets really so I think you go Janice (ditzy guitar player in the Electric Mayhem band) as Athene. Kind of a perfect comedy casting really.
That means you probably have real actresses as Circe and Calypso.
Statler and Waldorf just have to be old men in Odysseus’ house just sitting back making fun of everything taking place.
Pepe the Prawn is probably the most underrated Muppet ever so you I’d give him a big name like Agamemnon, Zeus or probably most fitting is Poseidon.
Dr. Teeth (my avatar) would obviously need to be a bard.

Giant Chicken instead of the Trojan Horse. This would be Gonzo's wife. After the chicken is brought into Troy and everybody is asleep, a bunch of mice jump out with toothpick swords.

I think I'd have to have her be Penelope just because you could have Kermit/Odysseus return after 20 years...

Then she gets pissed he's been gone so long, gives a big "HI YAAAH!" karate kick and for three minutes just wipes out all the suitors while Kermit just stands there holding the bow
I originally said Dr. Teeth as a bard but I like him better as Homer/the narrator. "Can you dig it man? Alright this next tune is about a cat named Odysseus."
Rizzo as Hermes could be great. Constantly having to fix everyone's problems and Rizzo would just complain the entire time.
Pepe as Posiedan is still my favorite casting. A tiny shrimp controlling the ocean and sarcastically giving everyone hell is kind of perfect.
Man, The Odyssey really is a perfect Muppet movie.
