Go ahead and throw in Young Sheldon for the "shitty sitcom that has way more viewers than it should" trifecta.

King of Queens and it's not even close for me.

I still think about the episode where Doug opens up to Carrie about how he would daydream about sleeping with the mail lady.

Carrie thought it was cute and kinky and asked Doug how it would play out in his mind.

Doug said that Carrie would die and after an appropriate period of time had passed Doug would make his move.

Carrie was appalled. "You kill me off?! What the hell is wrong with you?!"

Doug said, "Oh come on are you telling me you've never fantasized about another man?"

Carrie said, "Well yeah but I'm doing it behind your back like a normal human being NOT PUSHING YOU DOWN THE STAIRS!"

Then Doug screams, "YOU TRIPPED OVER TIMMY'S SKATEBOARD!!!"

They're both attractive.

OMG! The cast got together in 2019.

Anthony Clark let himself go.

Ray's brother seemed like a character that would get on my last nerve and still don't think that I could overlook how annoying and unfunny he is.

I got talked into going and seeing that guy's stand up show after his other sitcom got cancelled and he started touring. He was every bit as unfunny and annoying "out of character" as you might imagine.

Raymond is the better overall show, IMO.

But King of Queens had more truly LOL moments.

This.

Both are great shows, I think I give a slight edge to KOQ though.

Both female leads had bitchy controlling issues but Debra Barone had Skylar White syndrome.

Carrie had an image fetish, wanted nice things, wanted Doug to get in shape and a better job but you could tell Doug still got some lovin'.

Debra...had just basically checked out...there were so many episodes of Ray complaining about no sex and they even made a big deal that Debra put on a nighty in one episode. There's a reason Ray spent most of his time on the golf course or in his basement.

Everybody Loves Raymond reaches that point where the comedy is gone and you're wondering why you're watching it...because entertainment is supposed to be escapism for a life you want.

I really enjoy both. Arthur and Doug really good on KoQ and Frank and Robert are really great on ELR. I’ll also throw mine and my wife’s favorite sitcom out there for honorable mention. “Rules of Engagement” with David Spade, Patrick Warburton, and Oliver Hudson.

King of Queens for me. My wife and I can definitely relate to Doug and Carrie.

My parents loved Everybody loves Raymond but I just couldn’t get attached to it.

I read awhile back that he was gay. Not sure why, but that one really surprised me.

I love both in their own ways.

I think older people/people with families or people involved with lots of family things enjoy ELR. Its a family show. Brothers, Parents, Kids, In-Laws. Thats its base, and thats where its humor comes from.

KOQ is about a young couple with no kids. Much more about their friends, their jobs, bills, vacations… and of course Arthur, he’s hilarious. They are all very flawed people and clash a lot and it is funny. I think it appeals to more people because its a couple dealing with couple things, not with a family and with kids.

I do enjoy their crossover moments.

Peak hotness she was for sure.

But in some of the episodes featuring the Nail Salon hottie, the actor playing that role is none other than Kevin James's IRL wife. She was peak hotness in those episodes.

AND what about Carrie's sister who appeared in the first few episodes of Season One? Very nice.

The Robert character is maybe the second funniest character on the show behind Frank. Pretty much everything about him makes me consistently laugh.

The actor that plays him is one of the most annoying people I've ever seen off the screen. It's shocking to me how good his timing and delivery is on screen and how bad and annoying it is when I see interviews. He's at his worst when I would see him do an interview situation with several other cast members. Always trying to be the funniest and center of attention.

For the record, I like KoQ a lot but love ELR.
