Kelso from Scrubs is so underrated.

Rewatching this show and man it hasn’t gotten any less funny than the last time I’ve seen it. Grew up with this on Comedy Central all the time and have watched it through several times. Obviously the main core of JD, Turk, Carla, Elliott, and Cox get all the spotlight. But I forgot how involved Kelso is in every episode. And his character is just as hilarious as the others. The two faced, antagonizing, politician/doctor. They give him plenty of counter to his hard attitude that gives the character lots of depth.

One of my favorite lines from the series:

I thought Ted was hilarious.

Though the later seasons get weaker, Kelso being shitfaced for the entire trip to the Caribbean was pretty good.

Just did my Scrubs rewatch and still believe this show had some of the best character development out of most sitcoms

When Elliot’s dad comes to visit and wants her to be an OBGYN. She doesn’t want to but she won’t tell him.
Kelso: “Paging Doctor Bakbone to the bjingo ward.”

Retired Kelso was so different but great as well…

Kelso: "Doctor Turkleton..."
Turk: "Sir, do you think my name is Turk Turkleton?"

Also, he’d fit right in on TD.

RIP Lawyer Ted - Sam Lloyd.
But honestly, damn near every character on that show was solid.

I agree; Everyone was great
One of the most underrated episodes of the entire show was when JD had to write a speech about Kelso and his lack of humanity. The Boss has to seem like he doesnt care for the sake of the hospital. Theres a cost to be the leader

Absolutely. That last step he takes from the hospital to the real world occasionally pops up in my head.
Never seem to be able to duplicate that trick myself though.

I've read that the Janitor had no scripted lines...all ad lib.
No idea if that's true.

Yup. wasnt even supposed to be a regular character either. But he was so good in his scenes with JD they made him a regular.
Another fun fact, there is a theory that he wasnt a real person, merely a figment of JD's imagination illustrating his insecurities. He never interacts with anyone else in the first season.
