That isn't the main series.

And people mocked me and Fox for insisting it will bomb. I’m going with 750 mil for it. I’ll self ban bet for 3 months that it won’t cross a billion if you’re down.

Look there are people who actually like the direction of the series. They aren't Star Wars fans, but they exist.

And it’s a vocal 5% of the population of SJWs compared to 80% of society that is sick of PC shite. Actual Star Wars fans well outnumber these people.

There are a few on this board. I remember a dude named Astronaut or something and a Cobra Commander guy. They love the direction of SW, They love the crank calls, the Leia Poppins, the beta Luke. . .all of it.

Cobra Commander is a 20 timed banned troll originally called GameCockAlum who would accept a Star Wars film with a guy farting for 2 hours so long as he was holding a lightsaber and an AT-ST was in the background. These people are in the vast minority.

I have legit stopped over TLJ many times scrolling through Netflix and considered trying to watch it, and luckily I never do. Opening night and the fallout I had the next couple days is something I don’t care to think back on. fricking bullshite

TLJ was so bad it made people look at TFA fondly. Even though TFA sucked arse and was a shameless rip off

Yep, count me as one of those. At least TFA is rewatchable and feels like Star Wars. Same with the prequels.

Only way the series changes direction is a complete house cleaning of Lucasfilm. Nothing is being done there, JJ isn’t going to make a difference. I gave up on the franchise.

People talk about the films still bank rolling, but people forget about how much SW sells in merchandise and toys. I’ve never see a Star Wars film where it was so easy to get some of the rare figurines immediately and the amount of toys left on shelves after release of the film. Star Wars geeks buy a lot of merch and they simply did not with this film. I was surprised that fact alone didn’t cause a shake up, that’s a big hit to the pocket book.

Killing off Snoke was one of the few things in TLJ that I didn’t mind. He was just another crappy CG character, and I don’t believe there’s any backstory for him that would’ve been satisfying. I’m fine with him existing only as a mechanism to bring Ben Solo to the dark side and then let Kylo Ren take over the First Order.

Yeah, first rewatch (to give it another chance) and you last about 20-30 minutes and then it's basically...I got better things to do.

Leave this turd in the past.

I thought if you made snoke dark plegisus it would add and connect to the story.
I also thought making snoke one of the emperors bodyguards that survived the second Death Star. would have been cool. He could have watched the emperor train Vader, so he knew how to train kylo ren in the ways of the sith but not actually be a sith. Kinda like they are both linked and need each other. Ben needs him to keep learning the power of the dark side and snoke needs his power.

The Last Jedi is so fricking terrible that it really makes you appreciate the prequels.

You may have not liked the prequels but at least they had a coherent plot, premise and message that still did its very best to stay true to the spirit of Star Wars and the originals even if you disagreed with the execution and small time nuts and bolts things like jar jar and whatnot.

The last jedi went out of its way to shite on star wars and everything that made it the most successful franchise in hollywood history, insulted its fans and told them to go frick themselves.

As flawed as the prequels always were, there were still elements within that were very entertaining and enjoyable to watch. Just about everyone loves the visuals, the score, and the lightsaber duels. The space battles were also pretty bad arse.

Honestly, I didn't hate the movie but I think you just changed my mind. That was the dumbest, most unfunny shite ever.

Revenge of the Sith to this day still has the greatest opening scene ever. It's unquestionably the GOAT. The scope, what's at stake, the action, and the soundtrack is absolutely breathtaking and they didn't ruin it with any forced dumb shite jokes.

LINK

One other thing is that the prequels were good enough to spawn off a hell of an animated series in the Clone Wars which is still ongoing and another one in rebels which just finished up. Those two series are some pretty damn good Star Wars to watch.

The Last Jedi will never be good enough to create anything besides universal hatred from its fanbase and fleeting love from discredited SJWs.

There are a lot of rumors swirling out there about Episode IX and quite a few of them claim that Abrams will be essentially retconning a lot of the decisions Johnson made in Last Jedi. Reportedly, Luke will be more than just a Force ghost and Rey's parents will be more than just junk dealers.

Dude. Who gives a shite? It's over.

When you understand that they did all of that intentionally, you'll make the right choice never to give them your money again.

This should have been the final confirmation, if you hadn't received it already. My favorite part is that, despite being all empowerment-y, she still wanted to cover up her chicken neck out of typical female vanity.

Grrrrrr. Orange man bad!!!

Hey look, it's another entitled star wars fanboy thread

It's pathetic when a sports message board now has over 200 threads complaining about a movie.

You all are pathetic and you should be ashamed of yourselves. You are supposed to be grown men and women.

Pathetic

The only way to save Star Wars is to just pretend that The Last Jedi never happened.

Hopefully the first scene of Episode IX is Luke jolting awake, "That was the worst nightmare I've ever had!"

Nobody hates TLJ more than me, but I will take this bet.

And I have NEVER done a ban bet.

Globally, SW9 will top a billion easily.

The end date is the day BluRay goes on sale. Anytime the movie makes it over a billion, I will make one last post to concede and not post for 3 more months. If the BluRay date comes and hasn’t hit a billion, you do the same.

Deal.
