I have legit stopped over TLJ many times scrolling through Netflix and considered trying to watch it, and luckily I never do.
Same. I've never even been able to click play. The one time in the theater will probably be the only time I ever see this piece of shite.

Revenge of the Sith to this day still has the greatest opening scene ever. It's unquestionably the GOAT. The scope, what's at stake, the action, and the soundtrack is absolutely breathtaking and they didn't ruin it with any forced dumb shite jokes.
Going to stop you right here.
If you were like me and saw the Clone Wars Cartoon that came out between Eps 2 and 3 (the 20 5 minute episode series), you’d might be right.
If you were like my Dad and didn’t see any of that, then you spent the whole movie asking how the Jedi/Empire were so incompetent as to let their leader get captured, much less by this General Grevious guy, who supposedly has this reputation of being a badass, but just runs around like a mustachioed “Moose and Squirrel” saying bad guy. By the third or so lightsaber battle, he said, “All this to get a little **** kid into a suit?” And I replied with, “Yea, they didn’t need to make the Hobbit into a trilogy either.”

I watched it one time with a girl who was on her period so we could feel like we were both getting fricked.
It only gets worse.
It only gets worse.

God this movie is such a giant turd of wasted potential.
frick Rian “Star Wars Ruiner” Johnson.
Lucas: no killing off of main characters. No edgy, "cool" stuff. Goal is to make a fairy tale, a classic adventure where the good guys are good, the bad guys are bad, and the good guys win. Errol Flynn movie, with the best realistic effects you can manage.
Rian's creation: good guys are jerks. Bad guy has a good side. Surprise twists out of character for iconic hero, who gets killed off for some strange reason.

Strange reason? He exerted himself. Yes, death by spiritual exertion.

This thread made me mad. I just kicked the shite out of the dog.

Or, you know, you could ignore this thread if you don't like it.
But people like you don't know how to do that.

Agreed.
The Last Jedi brings some of the best melts you'll ever find.

I'm growing to accept the theory put forth by Mr. Plinkett in his review of TLJ. Its really a badly made mad cap comedy masquerading as a Star Wars movie.
I loved the Plinkett review of TLJ (hell anything they do, really).
In the Half In The Bag review they did shortly after it came out, they were tip-toeing around calling it a disaster the entire time. They couched a lot of the criticism with "if they'd have just done X a little different, then..." but by the end were literally laughing out loud at some of the stupidity. They even started out by saying "it's not a mess, but it's messy."

Nah, I do it to point out all the circle jerking you guys do.
I'm thinking about making a thread and posting all the TLJ threads whiners have made and all the circle jerking that occurs just to show how pathetic it is.
There has to be over 100. It's so amusing to me that a movie has caused so much butthurt that it causes so much energy to be put into bashing it.
It's quite pathetic, no matter how you look at it.
But keep making threads, the hot takes are so intriguing, we need more.

I think the only thing I’m overly cocky about is JJ not making a major impact on the BO. If it was almost anyone else directing it, I’d be 100% confident. He’s a bit of a wild card though.
