After all these years, all I'd ever heard of it was:
1) the guy wasn't actually psychic, and
2) it's hilarious.
I binged it over the last month-ish and got to Psych: The Movie last night. Man, this show is so good! The pop culture references, physical comedy, character development of the entire ensemble, the awkwardness of so many scenes/episodes, the cameos, recurring characters, the will they/won't they, all of it is friggin awesome.
It has so many elements of other great shows, it just does them better, IMO.
M/TV thoughts? Comparisons? Rank?

Great show, USA had some killer murder comedies. Psych and Monk are some of my favorite shows all time.

Psych is one of the best shows ever, regardless of age. However, if you were born in the 70s or 80s it’s almost impossible for it not to be in your wheelhouse.

The last season, everyone and the scripts looked tired, but up til then, the show was fantastic. The movies have all been excellent. Poor Lassie

And that Jules!

I'd never watched a second of it but during covid lockdowns I binged it and loved it. I had previously tried to house Chuck and while I loved it at first I grew tired of it. I heard Psych was a similar show so I was a bit leery but it never let up. Great show.

me and some friends had this conversation. Was it Gus and Shawn or Turk and JD

I miss USA series seems they gone most the reality route because its cheaper to make which sucks

Psych
Monk
Burn Notice
Suits
White Collar
Covert affairs
Mr Robot
Royal Pains
La femme nikkita

They can put their original programming up against anyone's

Which begs the question, what happened to USA. Did they lose some major talent when all of the streaming services start taking off, did some executives try to make some changes and completely bombed the channel.

Psych is on my list to binge, and it's coming up soon in the order. When it was live, I fell out in Season 5 and never got back into it.

TV Line recently reached out to Rodriguez for a status report on Psych 4, to which he confirmed the next sequel has been in the works and may just happen in the near future. The actor, who is credited as an exec producer as well as a writer for the last three films as well as 16 episodes of the original series, revealed that everyone involved in the franchise is eager to get another Psych sequel up and running. He also confirmed that the film is more likely to start rolling soon because there is already a script.

I’m 55 and obviously love it but my 14 year old absolutely loves it and I know those 80’s and 90’s references get by her. It’s is a phenomenal show that never gets old. I watch that and Monk all the time.

Most quotable show ever. I don't watch a ton of scripted TV, but I can watch this show over and over.
