Josh Jackson and Lizzy Caplan to headline Fatal Attraction remake at Paramount+

The original erotic thriller, released in 1987, starred Michael Douglas, Glenn Close, and Anne Archer.

A deep-dive reimagining of the classic psychosexual thriller and ’80s cultural touchstone, the new series will explore fatal attraction and the timeless themes of marriage and infidelity through the lens of modern attitudes towards strong women, personality disorders and coercive control. Michael Douglas played the role in the 1987 film.

Why would anyone want to watch a cheap, TV version of that movie, starring 2 c-listers? I've never heard of the chick and I haven't seen Pacey since he did a cameo as himself in Oceans 11.

Weird flex. I don't believe a word of it, but it's funny at least.
JJ was great in Fringe btw, and Caplan has been in lots of shite. I haven't seen FA in forever, but wasn't part of the plot that she was not the most attractive woman or something like that? If that's the case, casting Lizzy Caplan is a mistake because she's a fricking smoke show.

This is like the Point Break remake. It's not compelling at all and stars people who are nowhere near as accomplished as the original actors. It's a softened, cheaper version of the original.

I don't think that makes the point you think it does. Most of that stuff isn't very popular, and it's entirely possible someone would have seen 1-2 of those things like Mean Girls and Hot Tub Time Machine without learning her name.
