I think whichever way it goes, Wick 5, a spin-off or closure, they did a good job being able to justify any of those outcomes.

I agree. If they decide to come back, they filmed it in a way to allow that. If they decide to let Wick rest, they filmed it in a way that’s just as satisfying.

Stahleski did film two endings, though. One had Wick alive and the other ending is the one we got, more ambiguous. I think both Keanu and Stahleski would probably like to do another eventually but I think they both want a break for a bit. That’s my guess

It was slightly too long. I think the body count equaled the first three movies combined. I'm alright with violence, but that was the first movie that I felt like I literally watched 3 straight hours of killing lol. It was a bit much. The final scene was great. The scene where they shot from above with the roof visually removed so that you felt like you were in a video game was really cool.

Good summary. There were a few scenes where I thought "okay this is dragging" but overall a good movie.

ETA: Joe Burrow did well in his acting debut.

Turned out to be a comedy by the end with those kills especially going up the hill. I had my teenage son with me and we chuckled and snickered at that scene. We enjoyed that so much. The stormtroopers look like sharp shooters by the time this movie was over with the shots fired at Wick. What's with the suit Wick was wearing? That thing could probably stop a missle. If you dont take the movie to serious it is great fun. I gave it a 7 out of 10 just for the fun factor.

Saw it today and watching that overhead scene with the fire bullets was bad arse. I like it more than two, but the original and one with Halley Berry’s dogs were the best.

Plot twist... alternate universe - John Wick is actually Ted from Bill and Ted's excellent adventure because his Dad really sent him to military school before Rufus could show up.

That ending was no different than The Dark Knight Rises. The only thing we didn’t get was Winston randomly seeing him in public somewhere

You think seeing Batman unharmed in a cockpit minutes before an explosion was the same as that? Seriously?

Dude took a gut shot and was visibly weakening.

Chose to sit down alone and think of his wife one last time before drooping his head and falling over.

By your logic, unless we see them get dismembered or a head blown off, we didn’t see them die on screen.

Pit Viper is also basically the best racegun you can buy, but $7K is ridiculous. In saying that, those JW guns hold their value like crazy.

Any of TTI's JW guns are basically double what they should actually cost. It's ridiculous

Combat Master is a $3000 2011 from any other company, Pit Viper would be a bout $4k.

I bought a Combat Master for competition shooting right before JW3 released. It was $3900 direct from Taran. They sold out almost immediately, announced they weren't making more, secondhand market price skyrocketed. I sold mine for $5300.
Taran saw what they were going for online, so they announced they were coming back, but for $6k this time So absurd. Only JW gun that is actually well-priced is the Benelli M2 Package. I have one for 3-gun competitions and it's great

First let me say that I know you can't nitpick a movie like this about realism, and I really enjoyed the John Wick movies.

That being said, I always laugh at the use of those thin kevlar suits and how many shots he takes with little effect. That kevlar apparently not only stops the penetration but completely dissipates the kinetic energy unless you're shot close range with a shotgun or missile launcher.

As someone who has been shot while wearing body armor, I can tell you, that shite will mess up your day. I can't imagine being shot that many times, but it would be similar to being beaten 1,000 times with a baseball bat.

Four movies with the same character are a lot. How many more guys is Neo supposed to kill after dueling Joe Burrow and the naked guy from the Hangover

Finally saw the movie yesterday. Really enjoyed it. Hopefully they can go back and do a prequel on Jardoni's dad.

Did anyone else think the black guy with the dog was completely unnecessary to the story?

Wife and I knocked these out over a week. My rankings are 1,4,2,3. 1 is a perfect action movie. Script is tight no fat action amazing.

4 just like 3 was too long.

My buddy thinks John Wick is dead but Jardani Jovonovich still lives. RIP Charon a true friend. Such is life.

Ponyed up to buy it on Amazon. Something I never do with new releases but I love the Wick films.

This one was a bit too much of everything. I don't hate it, but feel it's the weakest of the four. Fight scenes too long, some odd music choices that just don't fit the series at all, not enough Winston, Chiron or Bowery King, assassins ripped off from The Immortals in 300, a blind assassin that is even more unstoppable than Wick. It's like they felt it needed to be even more over the top which I didn't really think was possible. And it doesn't work well for me.

Like I say; Don't hate it. Don't love it. Will watch the other three before this one again.

Kind of like what they did to matrix sequels. They think we only watch for the fights so presto, let's make the fights much longer

Enjoyed it, but Arc de Triumph and stairs were too stretched out. If those could have been cut down, it would have been almost a perfect movie.

I agree. It wasn’t bad by any stretch. But it was definitely too long. Needed about a 1/2 hour cut. I guess with a series like John Wick you have to up the ante every sequel and it kind of leaves you no place to go if you’re not careful. But it was too over the top for my taste.

But, the John Wick series is great overall. A little stumble on the finale will not take away from that.
