Late stage Letterman was embarrassingly bad. Stuck around 5+ years too long.
Better than any late night that is on today. By miles.

Nothing about his alcoholism?

That was the first thing I thought about. How long ago was it that this was widely rumored? It seems like he had some issues including a hand injury. People were speculating that he was drunk and had hurt himself.

Are these the same staffers that were too traumatized to work when Norm MacDonald was gonna be the guest? I think they are just weak individuals.

Canceled for what? Rolling Stone is such a shite magazine.

The only thing Fallon will get canceled for is poor ratings, and his ratings can't be that much better or worse than all the other dogshit late night shows that are on today. I bet reruns of Carson would get better ratings than the tonight show today.

I taped early Letterman shows they were so amazing.

I stopped watching towards the end because I no longer recognized him . Bitter, angry & unfunny. Pass.

This.

Late night talk shows are a relic of a bygone era of television. Boomers keep them alive.

The current mode has talk show hosts wearing their politics and forcing jokes. This needs to go away. If Johnny Carson were still alive and making shows like in the 70's and 80's, I'd watch.

So like most Americans, their job is not what they hoped it be. Get over it.

I don't see any of them complaining about pay though.

The word canceling is often just shorthand for “entering a negative news cycle that will likely blow over in a week with some residual damage.”

Kevin Spacey. Harvey Weinstein. Bill Cosby. Those were cancelled celebrities. And two of them went to prison, while another went on trial.

Joe Rogan gets “cancelled” every other month, but that term has no meaning as he is doing as well as ever. Same with Dave Chapelle, who has some negative articles in the Hollywood Reporter or Variety. I’m sure he’ll pull through.

I’m sure every comedian wishes they were “cancelled” the way Shane Gillis was.

Fallon has had alcoholism rumors for years, as well as rumors of affairs. He sounds like kind of a train wreck to work for.

I don’t find him remotely funny and haven’t seen his show in years. His worst segments are his celebrity interviews, where he just panders non-stop.

But this isn’t anywhere near a Kevin Spacey/Harvey Weinstein event. Or even Louis CK.

As much as I’d like to see that moron retreat back into a shell and never return.

“Mental stress” and “hissy fits” are pretty weak arguments for canceling someone.

All these late night shows have ridiculous schedules.

It’s all these staffers making $20 an hour bitching because they are eating rice and beans in LA or NYC.

Fallon was getting hammered when he first started because he wouldn't pile on the TDS-fueled nonsense. They realized that the average late night viewer wanted to hear that garbage, so they turned on a dime.

I don't really find Jimmy Fallon funny.

But more than likely, these people who want to work on the Tonight Show are raging Liberal cucks born in a generation of sissies.

Newsflash... most jobs suck because of the higher ups.. learn to get over it you coddled charmin soft goobers
