He now owns the top ten scores ever.

2-week business trip in Europe. I fly out the day before the audition. I tried to work out the logistics and I just can't make it happen.
I'm pretty bummed about it, but I'm hoping they'll let me audition later in another city. In my e-mail notice, they said that they still want the contact info and city of residence for people who can't be at the audition.

Anyone taking the prop bets on James? Most I've seen don't have him favored to break Jenning's earnings total or win streak (not surprisingly on that one).

Did anyone else catch Alex say the fricking teachers tournament is next week?

Speaking of fricking teachers, there was an OT 10 unicorn tournament thread, but has there been a hottest OT naughty teacher tournament thread?

Yes. James gets a break after Friday.

Going from James to the Teachers tournament is on par with switching from a NFL game to a grainy highschool broadcast on CSS.

Man, that's too bad.
IIRC, back in '13 they gave us the dates/times of the four regional options, but they were in a rather tight window of only a couple of weeks or so. I remember that because I noticed I just missed an opportunity to do the New York City audition session by a day or two; we were going to be on vacation there right around the same time.
Good luck, man.

Do they talk to you about stalling at all?
No, not when I was on in 2013.
The one thing they told us about game play was that while they couldn't TELL us not to, they would PREFER if we didn't "jump around the board" when we were in control, i.e play the way subsequent Champions like Arthur Chu and James Holzhauer have played. They wanted us to go down from top to bottom through a category if we remained in control of the board.
I also found out after I got there that (1) seersucker doesn't work on TV; the stripes created a weird visual effect (so I changed into my blue blazer) and (2) couldn't wear the Tabasco tie I had on as it was considered advertising (so I switched to a Monet tie I brought).

Do they mandate you bring x number of outfits?

What about college logos if the brand insignia wasn't visible?

james needs around 85k tonight to have an average of 77k heading into the teachers tournament break. 77k was a previous one day record, which could be an average for james after 20+ games. holy frick
Posted on 5/4/19 at 2:25 am to rockchlkjayhku11
he finishes just shy of the 77k average heading into the teachers tourney. damn

nope, he won again last night.
When does the season end? What if he's still winning the end of the season? Does he just start playing again at the beginning of next season?

Dude just wagered 11,214 on a daily double for some unknown reason
The guy wagers money that correspond with important dates to him. 11-02-14 may have been the day his daughter was born.
He's made wagers on birthdates, anniversary dates, etc. That's why the numbers are so odd.

How would you like to be one of his opponents who probably tried for years to get an audition, pass the audition and be selected to be on the show------then see him as the defending, and current champion.
Bet so many of his opponents just had one of those "Aw frick" moments.

I'd love to see him wipe the floor with Ken Jennings and this guy...
