I don't have a huge issue with religions that are extreme as long as they restrict it to their community.
It's the religions that lop off heads of nonbelievers that tend to concern me.

One of the things that gets me is refusal of blood products/ transfusions. That's fine if you're an adult, but not when they try to make that decision for their kids.
I had a case in residency where we had a teenage patient who had profuse GI bleeding and parents refused transfusion. We tried to keep him stable on other IV fluids and pressors, but as his bleeding continued we eventually took emergent custody and then giving the kid some blood.

Oh and you know about jehovahs?? Please enlighten me. They go to door to door to recruit people. if you said to them you would go to their kingdom hall. They would light up like a Christmas tree. They also dont believe in wearing beards or higher education.

You are not allowed to wear beards, celebrate holidays or birthdays, play chess and they dont believe in higher education. According to them..we are in the last days, so why pursue anything in this world long term .

If you want to "expose" JWs then focus on the watchtower society. It's very simple. It's the source of all of their bullshite. Always go to the source. Just like scientology. Don't focus on their bullshite, focus on Hubbard himself.

They go preaching door to door. Talking about the bible, study the bible with people. Not recruiting at all. It's not like you sign up for something. It's a free bible study. It's based of jesus sending his apostles off in two's to go door to door,
Not a single person there is getting payed to go preach or give talks on Sunday like pastors in a lot of other churches who make good money preaching at their church. There is no plate that is passed around trying to collect donations.

plenty of people have beards and I have a college degree, one of my good friends is a doctor, another one is a nurse and another an engineer. You're extremely misinformed. If somebody wants to know more, go to JW.ORG. that's the official website and you can get answers to questions. If you google you get people saying stuff like this and thats what people end up believing.

Man some of this stuff is hilarious. Where did you hear that? I love that the majority of people hate on something that they are completely ignorant about or extremely misinformed. People say stuff like this I guess bc some friends grandpa said they so they believe it instead of you know, actually talking to someone who is a JW.
Like I say, I've never talked religion on here. There are multiple people on the m/TV board that are atheist and I talk to them like anybody else and have never questioned their beliefs. But on stuff like this it's hard not to stand up for your beliefs when its getting bashed on things that we dont even believe.
