8M worldwide, but only 144k get to go to heaven? That's just bad math, or as George Carlin says, "Maybe they're counterfeit souls. Somebody's printing up souls!"

God I dont know why I keep responding to you but yet again you aren't understanding it right. That is a deep subject that in just a post on the internet I couldn't fully explain it, so I wont bother. But simply put, yet again, your misinterpreting it.

It's actually more generous than what a lot of Christians believe. A lot Christian believe only their specific denomination is getting into heaven. Then they narrow it down to their church, and even then not everyone in their church will get in.

It's like, "great bud, you're telling me heaven's going to be you and six other miserable assholes from your church? Pass."

The real irony here is when you tell them you worship Satan(just to get them off your porch) they freak out and leave

Not saying you haven't done this or it didn't happen, but I've never had someone try and do that or heard of anybody do that. Pretty quickly you seem like you've seen it all, so theres not much that could throw you off, much less freak you out.

If you talk to someone and they say "I worship satan", it's pretty easy to see that they just want you gone and just say ok have a good day. Not much of a reason to freak out.

We can be happy, therefore, for Jesus’ assurance that there will be survivors of “the generation of 1914”?—that this generation will not have completely passed away—?when the “great tribulation” rings down the curtain on this wicked world system.

Lmao it's pretty clear cut. I'm pretty sure most,if not all of the generation of 1914 have passed away. More and more years waiting on that great tribulation. Get you a beer and have fun.

can be difficult or painful for young people to make choices in life that are different from the people around them. For example, Satan promotes the idea that having a career in his world is the way to have a real purpose in life.

Having a career long term is satan's way. I got it.

My roommate in college dressed up in slacks and a tie, with a bicycle, helmet, and bible included for Halloween and it was the funniest shite I had ever seen. I’m pretty sure this was Mormons but same difference

Based off what you just said, you dont know anything about them.

My wife (no pics) was home alone when some JWs came to the house. They offered to come inside and pray with her and, with her being entirely too nice to strangers, she agreed. They asked where I was at and she told them I wasn't home. They refused to pray with her unless the man of the house was home. Awkward. They tell her they'll be back. Wife mentions all this to me, I shake my head in disgust (I'm atheist so you can imagine how ridiculous and sexist this whole thing sounded to me).

Fast forward a couple of weeks and I'm out on the front porch and some JWs walk up. Same ones. They explain that they'd come back to pray and can do so now that I was home. I told them I was atheist and was not interested. They offered to bring an "elder" to the house to sit in on the prayer for me. As kindly as I possibly could, I told them they needed to leave and not come back.

They left me one of their bibles. It made great kindling for my charcoal chimney starter.

There might not be anything more awkward than random arse people coming up to your house to try and push something on you. Whether that be religion or any kind of product to sell. Especially when they won't take no for an answer and you have to get curt and impolite with them. The worst is when they come up at like 8 or 9 at night.

That's odd. You sure they weren't Mormons?

Just asking for a few reasons. 1. We would never ask to come inside. 2. We dont volunteer to pray with people, bc the homeowner is a stranger to us, just like we are to them. 3. Since we dont have a "let us pray for you" type ministry, it's odd that they would make an effort to come back to do it. 4. Someone experienced or someone who has been going for a while definitely wouldnt come with the purpose of praying bc honestly that's just something we dont do and he would know that. 5. Mormons have elders that when at the door they introduce themselves as elders, a JW doesnt introduce themselves by some title, just by their name. The person you're talking to wouldnt care, it comes off like your bragging, and no witness has ever been taught to do that. 6. People think we are mormons pretty often lol

You know, you may be right because it was like "their" bible, an LDS bible. Are LDS, Mormons, and JW all completely different religions?
