It’s been time to wrap this show up. The creativity has been dead for a few seasons

I have a friend who really likes this show. Made me watch one episode and it was awful. How is it still going on?
That's crazy how it's still airing when you didn't like it.

Next season of Curb will likely be 2025.
Is that true?

It took a huge dive in quality after they pushed out the creator of the show. There are still some laughs, but not nearly as many.

Mostly from Bev, but that may be because my wife exhibits certain Bev traits when it comes to the kids

Sounds like another case of women wanting to be treated the same as men. Then getting upset when they are.

I don't know about any of the claims, but I want to say I heard him on Rogan's podcast a few years ago and when the show got brought up, he was pretty open about how he didn't really like it. As in, didn't think it was all that funny and was not his cup of tea comedy wise. It was actually kind of funny to hear a guy talk like that about a show he was STILL on. If you've ever seen his standup you could see why the show is not really his kind of comedy.
So, who knows. Maybe as time went on the fact that he thought it sucked led to him being an a-hole.

What are they going to do? Kill him off on the show?
Might not need to since it's a flashback show as opposed to the standard ones that happen in real time.
They could just do stories that don't involve him. Or make him an unseen character like Vera on Cheers.

The article claims that he only had one shooting day left before he wrapped for the season when he was fired. It’s a shortened 18 episode season, so the show might not even need to explain him leaving because it’s entirely possible it gets 86’d after this year. If not, they will probably have to write something up for his absence next season

I imagine that is how most big hollywood actors behave. Once they get big, they get used to people just tolerating the shitty behavior and they just do whatever the hell they want and think it's acceptable.
most big actors absolutely do not behave like that and he is certainly not a big hollywood actor.

I call bullshite. I was not saying that they are literally doing what Jeff did. Rather, they are used to being told yes or being tolerated, so they have no censor.

I almost included that in my post. He's not big time, sure. He may be big enough (or was at some point) to have the mindset mentioned above.

Garlin said the show wasn't going to be renewed

I guess they’re ending the show because it won’t work without the dad.

So once ABC Studios learned the show canned Garlin, they ordered four more episodes to round out the season with 22

It makes sense now. He was trying to get fired. Just like an episode of Curb, Larry probably told him- if you want to get fired, yell at a fat lady to get out of your way.

call it what you want ... but there is little chatter in the business about any major film actors acting poorly on set. And those stories spread quickly. Sure, they can be a bit moody or too method or just strange. But these days especially most abusive behavior has been put in check. Even stories about the notoriously horrible Ben Stiller have subsided.

He got fired with one day of shooting left in their last season.

Shouldn't have let Susie find the phone
