I got to see an early screening for this on Monday night. A buddy of mine plays in a band, and an old buddy of his who works at one of the local theaters was at the bar he was playing at and invited him to see the employee screening and I got to go with him.

It’s definitely wacky as shite. The beginning is pretty wild. Polka-Dot Man is a fun character. Cena is Cena. I’m glad king shark wasn’t wasted on the first one like it was intended, because while I’m not a big fan of how they portrayed him in this movie, as a long time fan of him in the comics (also not a fan of how they portrayed him in the flash) he was great here

How does it compare to Gunn's Guardian films?

Tonally, it’s absolutely James Gunn. This might sound weird, and it might not be what you were looking for, but I found that the color palette that he used for the guardians movies was unlike anything that marvel had done to that point and done since, and he absolutely brings that over to this movie. I found the pace to be a little bit quicker, and obviously the dial is turned up from like seven to a 15 in terms of content if you are comparing the franchises. Same type of humor in regards to the quips and stuff like that, every character it’s just so sharp witted. But very vulgar

It was great. Exponentially better than the first. Heads up, there’s a post credits scene as well

Hey OP maybe make this the spoiler free general discussion thread. Reviews, box office, no spoilers questions and such.

Harley Quinn

1st Suicide Squad version or what ever that was in Birds of Prey?

( and I hate clarify, but I'm talking character, attitude , lines and not 'attire'. )

I know it’s a low bar, but this is easily the best DCEU movie.. it was a ton for fun. Those first 10 minutes are wild

Suicide Squad is one of my favorite comics so I was quietly very optimistic for this. The first and third acts were absolutely perfect. Expertly done by Gunn. The second act was a little disjointed. It was slow at times, and John Cena was overused and his jokes became a little cringe towards the end. Those drawbacks are nothing compared to the good and great though. Easily the best DC movie and one of my favorite movie experiences in a couple years.

Flula Borg and Nathan Fillion were both great in their roles.

Who cares about a movie made by the gay guy from Project Runway.

I personally wouldn't put this over the real Justice League (Not Josstice League) or Aquaman, but I would probably put it slightly ahead of Shazam. To use a football analogy, it's a lock for the Pro Bowl but not an All-Pro.

That was way better than I expected. Easily the best DC content put out.

Just got out of theaters. It's violent and gory but it's up there with Deadpool for me as far as ultra violent comedy. Gunn did a great job on it. The opening scene set the tone and Harley was a better character in this one.

TdK was Fillion? I didn't catch it. He had the grossest power until RC2.
